In “The Remnant," Jonah Goldberg enlists a “Cannonball Run”-style cast of stars, has-beens, and never-weres to address the most pressing issues of the day. Is America doomed? Has liberalism failed? And will mankind ever invent something better than ‘90s-era “Simpsons?” Mixing political history, pop culture, rank punditry, and shameless book-plugging, Goldberg and guests will have the kinds of conv... more

Glad you did it. In last few months I noticed you have consultants helping you, but it’s obvious you hate it. The state of the dispatch is you’ve been outflanked by other organizations. Bulwark on the left. Free press and NR on the right. You’re a middling mediocre “news” group. Dispatch is just a 1999 opinion staff at the core. Also behind on technology (typical, cc Steve). One thing you could do to increase revenue is offer ad free podcasts and articles per diem (one click on demand, a common ... more
Thank you for interviewing Fr. Gregory. Excellent and edifying.
If you’re looking for balanced political commentary without sycophant worship, this podcast is for you. If someone does something wrong, they’ll call it out regardless of political affiliation, the way that honest reporting is supposed to work.
I love listening to Jonah and his excellent guests. When he has someone on from the more progressive side, they're always thoughtful and engage in fair discussion. Jonah clearly knows his stuff on most topics. Only wish he'd quit making excuses for himself. Sick, tired, frazzled, etc. You're GOOD at what you do, Jonah. No worries!
Enjoyed your conversation with Elliot Williams. You have a great rapport and it made wading through what are typically the partisan minefields actually fun and engaging to listen to!
