In “The Remnant," Jonah Goldberg enlists a “Cannonball Run”-style cast of stars, has-beens, and never-weres to address the most pressing issues of the day. Is America doomed? Has liberalism failed? And will mankind ever invent something better than ‘90s-era “Simpsons?” Mixing political history, pop culture, rank punditry, and shameless book-plugging, Goldberg and guests will have the kinds of conv... more

Having spent 12 hours in near World War I-trench conditions at the Georgetown hospital, Jonah Goldberg is feeling grateful for penicillin and ready to pile in on some good ol’ fashioned eggheadery. After reminiscing about a battlefield experience at ... more

The ruminant going behind a paywall is one of those rare instances where the free version of something is better than the version you pay for.
Good discussion with Charlie Cooke. He gave you the solution to expanding your paid subscribers for the Dispatch. Start (again) prioritizing the larger threats to this country. Everyone has heard your beef with the guys on the right ad nauseam. Train your eye (and genius) on the right things again.

Fuentes is flat out what you describe, racist, antisemite, etc. so how do you get off with the Hitler Stalin comparison? Who are you calling Hitler? There by naming Stalin the equivalent too?
You are adding to the ignorance and thereby the hypocrisy is in your tent. I suggest a simple thought, consider a world according to Piker vs Fuentes. As well, have Piker on your show. Fallowed by Fuentes. See for yourself. And stop talking because you are making a mess of the world.

The show centers on cerebral political analysis that blends history, philosophy, and culture with sharp debates on liberalism, conservatism, and modern governance. Across episodes, topics swing from liberal philosophy and its historical roots to critiques of contemporary political movements, economic policy, and media dynamics, often featuring guests who challenge conventional viewpoints. A notable strength is the long-form, idea-forward format that invites nuanced discussion rather than punditry, with occasional live events and promotional reads that reflect a network-driven mix of content and sponsorship. Potential listeners who enjoy rigorous argument, historical context, and a willingness to entertain competing ideas will find it especi... more
