And will mankind ever invent something better than ‘90s-era “Simpsons?” Mixing political history, pop culture, rank punditry, and shameless book-plugging, Goldberg and guests will have the kinds of conv... more

Good discussion with Charlie Cooke. He gave you the solution to expanding your paid subscribers for the Dispatch. Start (again) prioritizing the larger threats to this country. Everyone has heard your beef with the guys on the right ad nauseam. Train your eye (and genius) on the right things again.

  • Piker and Fuentes

Fuentes is flat out what you describe, racist, antisemite, etc. so how do you get off with the Hitler Stalin comparison? Who are you calling Hitler? There by naming Stalin the equivalent too?

You are adding to the ignorance and thereby the hypocrisy is in your tent. I suggest a simple thought, consider a world according to Piker vs Fuentes. As well, have Piker on your show. Fallowed by Fuentes. See for yourself. And stop talking because you are making a mess of the world.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Live From the Watergate Hotel! | Interview: Sarah Isgur
Q: What is your advice for someone who wants to go into punditry after law school?
Focus on building real expertise in a niche, accumulate writing clips, and be prepared to accept a long, gradual path that often involves a step back in pay to build credibility.
What Is Europe? | Interview: Roderick Beaton
Q: Where do you define the geography of Europe, and how does that shape the idea of Europe as a distinct entity?
Beaton suggests geography and history are inseparable, and while Europe is defined by continental boundaries, the continental shelf and historical developments (Christianity, Rome, and later political unions) have always shaped what Europe means beyond mere map lines.
Circling Liberalism’s Wagons | Interview: Adrian Wooldridge

The book argues that liberalism has been a rich, dynamic tradition since the 18th century, characterized by individualism, tolerance, and a regulated state, and that contemporary politics tests its ability to adapt while preserving core liberal commitments.
The Uses of Marxism | Interview: Tyler Austin Harper
Q: How do you view Marxism as a framework for understanding today's political and cultural dynamics?

He also stresses that not all journalists or thinkers need to be Marxists to do good journalism.
Last Branch Standing | Interview: Sarah Isgur
Q: What is your book about?
