  • Loyal listener, so far

I really like Dan Foster! So balanced and reasonable. More and more, Noah Rothman just seems angry.

  • Roll of the dice.

Most of you say a lot while never making a valid point, and week to week I never know which side you will take on any given issue, it tends to change every episode. Noah should start his own podcast.

After about an hour of thoughtful commentary and policy discussion, it’s always a nice wind-down to have the editors have a few more whimsical Q&As and discussions of weekend exploits. However, I’d be lying if I didn’t say I wasn’t disappointed that — with all of these baseball fans — not one of the editors thought of spending some of their unearned billions on their own “Field of Dreams”-style baseball field. Heck, I would do that as well as an indoor and outdoor ice hock... more

  • Laundering authoritarianism with an intellectual veneer

I will say that these guys clearly believe their own propaganda. Their current episode about gerrymandering, a plain attempt to rig elections by Republicans, is somehow legitimate when done by Republicans, but shocking when the Democrats don’t unilaterally disarm.

“This is not Republicans gaming the system” according to them. Democrats attempted to make gerrymandering illegal but Republicans refused and then tried to steal dozens of seats so they could hold power even without majority support.... more
