  • Fabulous content

I’m a conservative and this is my daily go to podcast. It hits at around 11 o’clock in the morning and it makes my day. The host and guests are thoughtful and very knowledgeable. There’s also some humor thrown in as well. Keep up the good work and keep the candle burning.

  • It’s OK, but…

I like all the regulars so I recommend the podcast, just be sure to skip the podcast every Thursday because that’s when they have that pretentious windbag Matt Continetti on. The guy doesn’t shut up, hogs all the airtime and pontificates like a smug know-it-all. Skip Thursdays shows!! You’ve been warned!!!

  • Ads, Finally!

Thank you for the chimes announcing the start and finish of the ads. It is very helpful to show that Jpod isn’t crazy when in the middle of a conversation about torture he is suddenly talking about bedding or picture frames.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Coming to America
Q: Can you talk a little about the arc of your family history and how it shaped your own life and work?
Lemann discusses the family's移igration between the South and North, the mix of Judaism with American life, and how early German Jewish success strategies in Louisiana evolved under changing social conditions.
How to Save the Jewish People
Q: What do we do about this problem? How do we address this problem?
Her answer emphasizes deterrence and strengthening institutions, while recognizing that power comes in multiple forms and that building alliances is essential to defend liberal values and Jewish life.
New York, Old Hatred
Q: Josh, can you tell us like...
He explains that Jewish Insider covers these local stories extensively and that the problem is bigger than it appears once you start digging, especially at the local level where grassroots politics shape future leaders.
Enemies On All Sides
Q: Dan Schueftan, can we turn now to discussing the overall situation that Israel, the United States, the Gulf States are facing in relation to Iran and how you feel about what on earth has happened in the last five days in Switzerland, or really three days in Switzerland?
Schueftan suggests that the global confrontation against Jewish life has intensified, arguing that Israel has emerged as the indispensable regional power and that Western policies must adapt to a harsher, more realistic security environment in which barbarian adversaries are challenging civilized norms.
Wild Kharg
Q: If the U.S. has to leave after aiming to satisfy goals, how feasible is it to sustain a long-term policy without a clear end-state?
Sustaining a long-term policy without a clear end-state risks losing public trust; the panel debates whether ongoing support for covert operations and economic pressure can sustain pressure on the regime without a formal declaration or nation-building efforts.
