Great discussion on the effects of social media, screens and technology on today’s youth, but why oh why didn’t you mention the great American hero, author, and top expert on this very subject — Jonathan Haidt ?

  • Am I being Picky?

I enjoy the pod, mostly. Collectively, you all inform the listener well. JP- stop making stuff up. You go on these rants and spin yourself up on your own words, but you wade into fiction. Also, get a thesaurus and stop abusing certain words. (Ok, that last point is a bit picky.)

  • Meh

Poor sound quality. Host seems to be less patient and more dismissive with females on the panel (I’m a male FYI). Last, they did a whole episode on Newsom and their interpretation that he was being racist with some of his verbiage recently, while never mentioning Trump’s overtly racist meme depicting the Obamas as apes. Cmon guys/gals. Can’t take you seriously.

  • Headache

The new girl feels she has a right to interrupt whoever, whenever. It’s annoying and I find I’m no longer listening daily, like I used to.

The economic numbers suggest a lack of significant improvement, indicating that Trump's policies may not be effective and could lead to challenges in the upcoming political landscape.
Iran-Amok
Q: Eli, what do you think? What should be the approach of Trump regarding the potential regime change in Iran?
The approach should involve serious planning for a post-regime Iran, but it seems like there's little actual planning being done.
Israel on the Cusp
Q: What will the polity look like when things are pacified?
The long-term goal is creating a Gaza for Gazans, but that relies heavily on security after hostilities cease.
Israel on the Cusp
Q: Can I ask a question about this, whether Qatar has the juice or not?
It may not be a question exactly of Qatar, but Hamas may not want to stop fighting.
Cultural Honors and the Culture War
Q: What should be the subject of museums, according to the discussion?
Museums should focus on the highlights of Western civilization and the glories of American culture, rather than just the sins of the past.
