I find sound most of the commentary and analysis. But the constant, reflexive defense of the current Israeli government’s brutality is just too much. Color me “unfollowing.”
I’ve listened to this podcast for 5 years since they started going daily due to Covid. Have always appreciated the insight, but lately I feel like John, Christine, and Abe are trying to refrain from being overly critical of Trump because they want their supporters to like them. It’s like they’re calculating instead of commenting. Christine has been an especially annoying fence-sitter. Seth has been a good addition. Ads are unannounced and seemingly randomly-inserted
I like the podcast just fine, it gives me insight to a worldview I don’t gravitate toward. But over the past 3 months, the ads have gotten increasingly obnoxious- sometimes coming every 7-8 minutes. Wild.
Overall, this is a podcast where JPOD asks five minute questions then constantly interrupts the responses. Basically it’s three people watching JPOD talk. The panel has great, knowledgeable people - just wish they had more time to talk.
Noah Rothman is unlistenable. The pace at which he speaks, his pedantic wordiness and arrogance...
Whether he is correct in his assessments and points or not…
He is unlistenable.
My same response when I listen to his contributions on The Editors podcast...
