  • Half Great

Katherine and Peter should have their own podcast where they can talk in dorky millennial meme-speak and Nick and Matt can keep this one where they talk like normal people.

Really enjoyed having a British perspective this week, but for the love of god, you have to stop using terms like 'TDS'. Giving it credence is embarrassing. You sound like you're sucking off DT, too afraid to fully criticize this asinine administration and many of the clearly unconstitutional, anti libertarian, anti liberalism actions. WAKE UP.

  • Bizarrely out of the loop

I genuinely don't know how the hosts could also be editors of a current events magazine; their reporting and commentary on culture, especially abroad, is like the literati equivalent of a teenager telling you about this hot new novel called "1894" that just dropped, or like your grandma calling you to ask if you've heard about a new interwebs virus called "TikTok."

  • Can someone tell Suderman to calm down

I enjoyed this podcast 10 fold more when Matt Welch was the host. Can someone tell Suderman to calm down and stop with the overt adderall enthusiasm.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Trump's War With Iran Is Unjustified and Unpopular
Q: Is regime change war distinct and more immoral than other forms or purposes of war?
The hosts argue that regime-change wars are typically not defensive, are more prone to moral hazard, and lack legitimate justification when used as a tool of foreign policy; even in hypothetical scenarios, they discuss how such actions often violate principles of self-defense and consent.
When Did Republicans Stop Caring About Gun Rights?
Q: [Katherine] How did we get in this position?
Katherine expresses her disbelief over how the Republican party seems to have shifted away from valuing the Second Amendment.
Is America Really Going to War for Greenland?
Q: Is there any good reason at all?
There is little justification for wanting Greenland from a libertarian perspective, as Americans effectively already have control for military purposes without owning the territory.
Is America Really Going to War for Greenland?
Q: How does this change sort of his stature there?
Trump's unpredictable threats make him a less reliable negotiating partner, causing concern among European leaders about the stability of U.S. foreign policy.
Reason Vs. Breaking Points: Does Big Tech Do More Good Than Harm?
Q: What about the workers?
Big Tech companies like Amazon definitely surveil their workers, which is a significant concern.
