  • Congrats Lindsey from the 3rd place woman!

I’m a long time listener of the podcast but especially loved the most recent episode with Lindsey Bradley. I was the 3rd overall woman at Indy and it was fun to hear about the front of the race. And it’s always great to hear about other women who are trying to train hard while having full-time jobs and lives outside running. Thanks for a great episode!

  • Like, what’s the deal?

I had to like stop listening to like the most like recent like episode due to like the like over like use of the word ‘like’.

If you can stand the poor vocab, I’m sure there is some good info in here. Like.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

#708 - Heidi Peoples: Teacher and Mother of 4 Takes First in the 45-49 Age Group at Chicago Marathon
Q: What motivates you to put in the work to regain your form and potentially get better?
Surrounding myself with supportive people and seeing friends achieve PRs at age 45 motivates me.
#708 - Heidi Peoples: Teacher and Mother of 4 Takes First in the 45-49 Age Group at Chicago Marathon
Q: What advice would you give someone coming from a more humble college background about what they could potentially do in their running career?
I would definitely say to join a running community or train with people better than you to push beyond your limits.
#705 - Brodie Sharpe: Unlocking Running Potential with Strength Work
Q: How much of strength training for runners is focused on injury prevention versus increasing performance?
Both aspects are important, but performance improvement has more robust research backing it compared to injury prevention.
#703 - Racing Mindset Masterclass with Molly Huddle
Q: How do you mentally and emotionally handle those situations?
You kind of just let it, the thoughts go through and latch on to something mentally, like so. I always liked when I didn't end up in no woman's land because it's so easy to slow down when there's no one around you.
#703 - Racing Mindset Masterclass with Molly Huddle
Q: Does the mentality and the aggressiveness have to be tailored to the length of those?
I think for the marathon, definitely. I liked having the control, but in a marathon, it just doesn't even start until the last, you know, so you really need to just kind of fall asleep in the beginning.
