  • Low quality

Petro is nearly intolerable with his combination of arrogance and ignorance. He is regularly rude to callers and even to guests who challenge him, which is the mark of a small, diffident person. He regularly misunderstand and misrepresents a person’s argument to make it sound weaker and he seems incapable of understanding basic reasoning and logic.

  • The Place for Chiefs News.

I listen to The Program to get the Chiefs news. I have listened to Soren Petro for quite sometime. I like his perspective on things. He is well thought out on his opinions and I like the selection of guests on his show. The only segments I skip are the “Stump the Chumps” segments since I’m not a real fan of sports trivia. I like the rest of The Program content.

  • Best in Kansas City

No one does a better job of staying impartial to local schools! Soren and Kurtis are a fantastic listen, and the definition of consistency. Great job to the entire crew that puts the show together!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

H1 Nate Bukaty, Perfect Pitch!
Q: Nate, what do you think of the U.S.'s chances in this World Cup, given the current squad and the level of competition?
Bukaty outlines that the chances are 'all over the map' but notes that a number of players compete in top leagues, giving them a real chance to advance through the group stage and potentially beyond if the right conditions align and the squad can unite as a team.
H1 Monologue, Texas Tech Keeps Talking, Matt Besler
Q: Matt, how do you see the US lineup balancing recent form with roster experience for the World Cup opener?
The key will be choosing players who are ready to perform at a high level immediately, even if it means banking on some less proven names if their recent club form supports a strong start.
H4 Nate Bukaty, The Kicker
Q: Final four time. Are you ready?
Bukaty signals cautious optimism, agreeing that the US can advance and make a deep run, while stressing the importance of execution and avoiding complacency.
H1 Royals Need Change, Gabriel Stigers
Q: Do you think starting Dominic Vaguely in the first game is the right move for KU?
Gabriel Stigers indicates that Vaguely's veteran experience and recent late-season form make him a solid choice for game one, with consideration given to how the rest of the rotation and bullpen may handle the rest of the regional schedule.
H4 N2K, James Palmer, The Kicker
Q: How might Chad O'Shea impact the Chiefs' wide receiver group?
Palmer believes O'Shea brings a high-level coaching presence and could elevate the receivers, especially by leveraging Mahomes' unique style and the need for a quarterback-coach synergy that enhances route concepts and ball skills.
