Great show. I love your impressions. Your mention of the Man in the Red Bandanna prompts this review- thank you. True hero is right.
I started listening to the Zone because I needed a Kansas City radio show to listen to, and I was familiar with Josh from the Postgame shows on 810. I really enjoy Jason as a host, and I think they do a great job talking about the sporting events that people want to hear about!
Because he thinks it makes what he’s saying is funny.
Epic fail.
Show kinda feels stale without more guests. Love when Field Yates comes on, and miss Mitch Holthus. More insiders would make this show better, as it is I skip it more often than not.
This show is 100% dependent on great national guests. Otherwise it’s a 10-2pm black hole featuring the classic sports talk pitfalls of tired forced humor. The host could be tolerable but doesnt add anything really substantive to offset the personality. Not clear why he was 810’s choice for mid day since the other two shows are fantastic. I’m still scratching my head on this hire.

A KC-focused sports talk show pairing sharp analysis with casual banter across football, basketball, and baseball. Episodes routinely cover the Kansas City Chiefs, NFL contract talk, and evolving offensive schemes, alongside Royals trade chatter and college basketball storylines (notably KU). The hosts keep a lively, humor-forward pace with guests ranging from analysts and reporters to former players, often weaving in light anecdotes and local sports culture moments that make discussions feel fast, personal, and highly listener-driven. A standout trait is the mix of deep tactical talk with accessible banter, making it appealing to fans who want both insight and entertainment from a local, daily sports conversation.
