  • I love Jason, Josh, Beards

I started listening to the Zone because I needed a Kansas City radio show to listen to, and I was familiar with Josh from the Postgame shows on 810. I really enjoy Jason as a host, and I think they do a great job talking about the sporting events that people want to hear about!

  • Why does Jason shout so much?

Because he thinks it makes what he’s saying is funny.

    Epic fail.

  • Needs more variety of guests

Show kinda feels stale without more guests. Love when Field Yates comes on, and miss Mitch Holthus. More insiders would make this show better, as it is I skip it more often than not.

  • Not worth your time

This show is 100% dependent on great national guests. Otherwise it’s a 10-2pm black hole featuring the classic sports talk pitfalls of tired forced humor. The host could be tolerable but doesnt add anything really substantive to offset the personality. Not clear why he was 810’s choice for mid day since the other two shows are fantastic. I’m still scratching my head on this hire.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Cole Ragans + Kris Bubic Injury Update, JJ Picollo Comments, & More! - Hour 1
Q: What year would they be targeting if they were to sell at the trade deadline?
The discussion suggested balancing short-term needs with long-term asset value, acknowledging Ragans and Berger's injuries and evaluating how hot the team can get for a potential playoff push while preparing for 2028.
World Cup & Royals Hypothetical Question! - Hour 1
Q: Which scenario do you think is best for the Royals, long-term anchors with Jensen and Cags or staying competitive this year without them?
The majority leans toward Jensen and Cags as anchors for long-term stability, even if it means sacrificing a year of immediate contention, because sustainable success depends on building around those players.
World Cup Talk, Salvador Perez, CUTS & more! - Hour 4
Q: What are the key tactical differences you expect between the US and Australia today?
Australia will likely sit deep and hit on the counter, while the US will push high and try to dominate possession, so the US needs to stay patient and not blink under the pressure.
Les Norman - Hour 3
Q: Is Jack Caglione actually better than Aaron Judge and Shohei Otani?
The hosts and Les Norman discuss Jack Caglione's potential, noting that while he may reach a ceiling that could rival some aspects of Judge, Otani remains a unique two-way talent, and comparisons are nuanced due to era, health, and development timelines.
6-4-26 Price Carter Hour 3!
Q: Between Bashard Smith and the other backs, where does he fit on the Chiefs' roster in 2026?
Price outlines that Bashard Smith could be in a competition capacity, potentially as a depth piece or gadget contributor, with emphasis on special teams and the flexibility to fill multiple roles depending on other roster moves.
