I really appreciate this podcast. It is keeping me informed on a weekly basis what is going on in Illinois. Illinois is my home. I was born and raised here in southern Illinois. I now have a family of my own where me and my wife our raising our kids here. It is getting increasingly hard to still live here and if something doesn’t change soon within the next few years in Illinois, we will be forced to move away too. The Illinois policy shop does a phenomenal job of explaining the problems that exist in Illinois while also why they do. AND!!! What needs to be done to fix them. Makes me very angry but also hopeful that maybe one day the politicians will grow up and do their job.
This podcast is important for those of us who want to know how politics works in Illinois. It's brief and gets to the point.
There are a million ways to hear people complain about the government, but few who put forth solutions. This is a great way to stay informed without getting disheartened. Things can–and do-get better!
