  • Valuable insight but..

AC, we love you dude and you’re such a help to many people. So it’s hard to criticize but brother you need to step up your energy level for the auditory listeners. Take a page from the ever-annoying, but correct on this one point, Tony Robbins, and elevate your energy state for these pods. Please! You sound like you just woke up from a nap and you’re not matching your guest’s enthusiasm and animation. Maybe you could find a producer to help. I think your channel would grow even more. Maybe try ... more

  • Life Changing Information, Too Many Ads

First, let me say that I love this podcast and Dr Chaffee’s information and delivery with the heat of a thousand suns. He has changed my life, and those that I recommend it to.

Having said that, I think he’d be horrified if he listened to the audio podcast version and saw how many ads were being inserted into each episode.

I certainly don’t mind him grabbing his bag, but it frankly just got ridiculous. I wish him the best and hope he will keep doing this until he reaches his goal age of 120 :)... more

  • He’s helped me

He’s helped me. I’m a newcomer and only been carnivore strictly speaking for about a month. My blood sugars no longer spike nor drop. They are even keel. I’ve lost about 15 lbs without really trying. I eat till I’m full and there is no need to snack in between because I stay full longer. Seems like I’m eating a ton of food at one sitting but I’m only eating meat and/or eggs. When I lift weights I listen to his podcast and that motivates. I love to hear about all the success stories of people rev... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode 352: Why Are People Really Quitting Carnivore? | Richard Smith
Q: Is gluconeogenesis a stress state when no carbohydrates are consumed?
No. They explain that gluconeogenesis occurs continuously regardless of carbohydrate intake, and during ketosis the body adapts to use fat-derived energy efficiently, reducing the perceived need for exogenous glucose while maintaining metabolic function.
Episode 352: Why Are People Really Quitting Carnivore? | Richard Smith
Q: What does the evidence say about long-term ketogenic or carnivore diets and thyroid function?
The discussion argues that long-term ketogenic-carnivore diets rarely impair thyroid function in large, generalizable studies; in many cases thyroid hormones normalize or improve when nutrients like zinc and selenium are adequate and goitrogens are minimized, though individual responses vary.
Episode 352: Why Are People Really Quitting Carnivore? | Richard Smith
Q: Why do you think people are quitting carnivore, and are they even truly carnivore to begin with?
The speakers argue that some people who claim to quit aren't fully ketogenic or carnivore to start with, misreport their food intake, or add back plant foods that introduce goitrogens and lectins. They stress checking for consistency in dietary adherence, alcohol use, and other lifestyle factors before attributing health changes to the carnivore diet.
Episode 349: Reversing Huntington's Disease with Diet
Q: Have you seen others adopt this approach and what has been their experience?
I have spoken with others who started meat-heavy diets, some achieved noticeable improvements, but feedback is inconsistent and some groups remain skeptical; I continue to document cases to provide more data.
Episode 349: Reversing Huntington's Disease with Diet
Q: What initially led you to investigate a carnivore/GAPS diet for Huntington's disease?
I came across a book and then discovered a gastroenterological link between diet and symptoms; after trying natural methods and focusing on eliminating toxins, I found a no-plant GAPs approach that, later combined with Carnivore, coincided with significant improvements.
