  • Great Podcast

I often have a hard time listening to magick based podcasts. They often feel overly rehearsed, almost fake in the way they’re being portrayed, but this podcast is nothing like that. It’s very human, feels conversational, without rules. I find myself coming back to this one over and over again.

The Importance of Queer Affirming Witchcraft w/ Sam Wise
Q: What is Lavender Witchcraft and why is it important to make it distinct?
Lavender Witchcraft is the term used for Queer Affirming Witchcraft and Queer Magical Practices, chosen to honor queer history and activism, and to explicitly affirm marginalized identities within the craft.
The Importance of Queer Affirming Witchcraft w/ Sam Wise
Q: Can you introduce yourself and tell us a little about what you do?
Sam Wise describes themselves as a witch, a pagan, a priestess, a columnist, and a podcaster, and notes they are the author of Lavender Witchcraft, Crafting Queer Magical Practice.
A Deep Dive into Runes w/ Imelda Almqvist
Q: Are runes only for divination, or do they have broader uses?
They were the script of the Viking Age and used for calendars and sigils, not just divination; working with runes can be personal, communal, and ceremonial, not limited to magical purposes.
A Deep Dive into Runes w/ Imelda Almqvist
Q: But why the runes? How did you begin with them yourself?
I started studying them seriously after a friend and I attended a course in the UK by an American teacher; then I pursued Scandinavian learning and developed my own approach, eventually teaching runes and developing a personal method.
Sigils, Ritual & Living Your Magic through Witchcraft w/ Swailes (The Bell Witch Podcast)
Q: Do you work with other divination tools besides sigils?
Yes, I use Oracle cards, Tarot personally, pendulums (though I don't connect with them well), crystal balls, and a curved black mirror; however, sigils remain the core practice for most projects I take on.
