  • Highly recommend

I found this podcast right after I started HRT. I wish I would have found this first as I have learned so much. I have recommended this podcast to many of my friends as we start to question if there are solutions to the many symptoms we are experiencing that our doctors seem oblivious about.

Part 2 Q&A with Karen: Cortisol Replacement, Optimal Levels, HRT Absorption Issues, Estrogen Detox, BIEST Troches, Perimenopause Confusion & More!
Q: My health has just dramatically improved. I'm still struggling with high sex hormone binding globulin at 138 nanomiliters. And it's eating up my bioavailable testosterone, which is very low at 3.9 nanograms per deciliter. In the past, I've dealt with severe adrenal fatigue to the point where my throat had swelled up and I couldn't swallow.
Your SHBG will go up because of your thyroid medications, and more so the T3. You can take a SHBG lowering supplement. As for cortisol, I think that's not what you said, it doesn't quite work like that.
Q&A with Karen: High Ferritin, Injectable HRT, Breakthrough Bleeding, Optimizing Hormones, Histamine Intolerance and MORE!
Q: What are your thoughts on hormone tracking devices?
Tracking devices can be useful, especially during perimenopause; however, blood work may be more effective in menopause.
Q&A with Karen: High Ferritin, Injectable HRT, Breakthrough Bleeding, Optimizing Hormones, Histamine Intolerance and MORE!
Q: What are your thoughts on testosterone and estrogen injections?
Typically, a dose of 5-10 mg of testosterone is common, while estrogen dosages vary by individual needs.
Q&A with Karen: High Ferritin, Injectable HRT, Breakthrough Bleeding, Optimizing Hormones, Histamine Intolerance and MORE!
Q: Can you explain high ferritin causes and what to do about it?
High ferritin can be due to too much iron or inflammation. It's important to get a full iron panel to determine the cause.
From Belly Fat to Brain Fog: The Top Peptides, & Hormones Helping Women in Menopause with Dr. Aleksandra Gajer
Q: When should a woman start considering hormone replacement therapy and peptides?
It's ideal to evaluate hormone levels and consider interventions around age 35 or when important symptoms arise.
