  • I have followed Monica for at least 10 years...

I would like to give it a fifth star, but I cannot endorse Anyone who promotes animal consumption -- particularly w/o warnings re. the dangers of this practice to humans, ecosystems &, of course, the mass horrible suffering of the animals from factory farming. It could be helpful to listeners to offer more healthful alternatives to eating animals. Otherwise I appreciate the show.

  • Politicized

Though Monica brings a lot of good information to light, she just can’t resist any opportunity to let her leftist political views show through her words. She is blatantly anti-MAHA.

  • I love this Podcast, but the ads have become too much

I’ve loved listening to this podcast for years and maybe I’ve only just caught on, but half of each episode is ads! There’s only 3 min of content between ad breaks and there’s multiple breaks. It makes it hard to listen to. Great content, but the ad to content ratio needs to be fixed.

Your questions about coffee and health
Q: Are there other foods or drinks that should be avoided by people with an overactive bladder?
People with an overactive bladder may benefit from limiting caffeine intake, as well as avoiding alcohol and carbonated beverages, while advice around avoiding artificial sweeteners and spicy foods isn't as strongly evidence-based.
When “healthy eating” means eating more
Q: What advice do you have for those who need to eat more?
Focus on choosing higher calorie, nutrient-dense foods rather than low calorie options, adjusting your cooking methods, and separating hydration from meals to avoid filling up before consuming enough calories.
The Truth About ‘Cortisol Belly’
Q: Have you addressed the cortisol belly craze?
The hype surrounding cortisol belly is often oversimplified, and while there is some truth, it is just one part of a bigger puzzle regarding fat storage.
Nutrition Diva Mailbag: Answers to your latest questions
Q: What about these ketone drinks that claim to provide all-day energy?
Research shows exogenous ketones do not reliably improve performance and they might even interfere with carbohydrate use. They are likely expensive and unproven for most active individuals.
Nutrition Diva Mailbag: Answers to your latest questions
Q: Is sauteing just as bad as deep frying?
There is a meaningful difference; deep frying uses much more oil which can create harmful compounds, unlike pan frying which uses less oil and often fresh oil.
