I absolutely love this podcast! Jeremy, Sass, and Mark are incredible CRNAs who take complex, high level concepts and make them easy to understand and apply. They’ve helped me feel so much more confident learning about crisis management and preparing for when I’m an SRNA. I especially appreciate how they explain that not every situation like anaphylaxis presents like the textbook version, and sometimes you have to rely on critical thinking and process of elimination. I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Jeremy Heiner and Dr. Sass Elisha at the Mentorship in Nurse Anesthesia Airway & Sim Lab at the Kaiser Permanente School of Anesthesia. From the moment they presented and engaged with us, their warmth, approachability, and quick-witted humor made learning feel accessible and fun. I was especially impressed to discover they’re not only leaders at KPSA but also co-authors of the Nagelhout & Elisha Nurse Anesthesia textbook—an incredibly admirable achievement.

Jeremy Heiner was a guess lecture for our program a couple years ago, so when I came across this podcast, I had to check it out. Definitely one of the best anesthesia podcasts made by nurse anesthesiologists! The episodes are short but packed with useful info. One suggestion I have, I think it would be so helpful if you could add a few board questions relating to the discussed topic at the end of each episode. Thank you for sharing your knowledge & expertise!
As an aspiring CRNA, I find this podcast incredibly engaging and motivating! Dr. Heiner, Dr. Elisha, and Dr. Gabot break down complex topics like pharmacology, medical emergencies, and CNE exam prep in a clear and captivating way. Their insights have given me a deeper understanding of the CRNA mindset, helping me prepare for what lies ahead. I highly recommend this podcast to anyone passionate about nurse anesthesia!

The show centers on practical anesthesia education, crisis management, and pharmacology for CRNAs and anesthesia students. Episodes repeatedly tackle airway management, regional techniques, pharmacology, and emergency response, often featuring educator guests and experienced practitioners who share case-based insights and actionable tips. A distinctive angle is the emphasis on crisis preparedness, hands-on technique walkthroughs (from nerve blocks to intubation strategies), and a culture of continuous learning within nurse anesthesia education. The format tends to be concise, high-value broadcasts with practical dosing, device choices, and step-by-step guidance designed for real-world clinical impact.
