  • exceptional interviewing

Kristen is a marvelous interviewer. after listening to just one interview, I decided to subscribe! She has a really nice way of summing up what her guest says and telling them what she appreciated about things they said, which is so affirming! Too many interviewers just move on to a new question which can make it seem like a guest is left hanging when a topic can be explored more.

  • Perfect podcast for stressful times!

I couldn’t think of a better time for this info to be coming through, nor a more qualified person to share it. Kristen does a great job of educating on how to nourish our nervous system, something we could all benefit from, especially in these stressful times in our vata-dominant culture. I love how she weaves in her personal stories; it makes the content more accessable. And the voice! So soothing and part of the medicine.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Rewiring Reality: Neurofeedback, Spirituality & True Coherence with Dr. Amy Albright
Q: What exactly is neurofeedback, and how does it fundamentally work in changing brain function?
Neurofeedback involves sensors on the scalp reading brain activity, which is then fed back to the brain via visual or auditory signals. This direct brain–computer loop helps the brain learn to regulate itself more effectively, moving beyond mind over matter to mind–brain alignment for better emotional and cognitive outcomes.
Rewiring Reality: Neurofeedback, Spirituality & True Coherence with Dr. Amy Albright
Q: How did your own path lead you to this integrative approach combining neuroscience, business strategy, health, and spirituality?
Amy describes a personal arc from atheism to spiritual awakening, followed by academic studies in neuroscience and traditional Chinese medicine, which she reframes as a single, interconnected story. This journey informed a practice that integrates scientific rigor with consciousness and leadership coaching, applied to both individuals and large organizations.
From Burnout to Balance: Ayurveda, Neuroscience & the Power of Ritual with Radhika Mukhija
Q: What are the big differences you notice between Indian culture with Ayurveda and Western culture in terms of health and burnout?
Radhika observes a universal tendency for women (and men) to prioritize others' needs, often neglecting their own, with Western norms sometimes emphasizing faster pace and external productivity; yet both systems offer tools—especially rituals and mindful living—that can rebalance energy, nourish the nervous system, and prevent burnout when personalized to the individual and grounded in seasonal living.
You're Not Broken, You're Disconnected: Finding Comfort in Your Body with Dr. Alexandra Johnson
Q: How do traditional treatments for anxiety often fall short?
Traditional treatments frequently miss the root cause by focusing solely on symptoms, failing to address the disconnection from oneself.
You're Not Broken, You're Disconnected: Finding Comfort in Your Body with Dr. Alexandra Johnson
Q: How does fear show up in the body and how does that affect our health?
Fear often leads to disconnection from the body, causing anxiety and insecurity that manifests as physical tension and health issues.
