  • Love

I love how each episode is a lesson we can learn from nature and told by individuals who truly love, transcend, and embody a well lived life. The way they speak about each of their life’s purpose, has me falling in love with all the wonder the world has to offer. I use much of these topics as themes for my toddlers unit studies. This is a truly inspirational listen!

These conversations, with so many of these marvelous people, who live, work, play, and participate in the journey of being human, with wisdom, kindness, generosity and a blossoming understanding of the interconnectedness of all things, is the kind of medicine we all need in our lives right now. Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Rebecca Solnit: Why Cynicism Feels Smart—and Isn't
Q: Can you share examples from the book of progress in recent history that illustrate the importance of having baselines for hope?
She points to moments like the fall of Eastern European satellite regimes in 1989 and the broader environmental movement as evidence that progress exists even when outcomes aren't immediately visible, emphasizing memory as a source of hope.
Rebecca Solnit: Why Cynicism Feels Smart—and Isn't
Q: I was curious if you could start by sharing why you think that butterflies are such a fitting symbol for these times.
Solnit explains that butterflies symbolize transformation that is often rough and necessary, illustrating how change is ongoing and not always pretty, which mirrors societal shifts and the need to embrace processes that enable growth.
From Soil to Shelf: The Science of Beauty With Jorge Blanco
Q: Why are you focusing on regenerative organic sourcing and the role of farmers in the supply chain?
Regenerative organic emphasizes soil health and carbon sequestration, going beyond standard organic if it doesn't address soil life; farmers are the first artists of the soil, and keeping soil in good shape is central to responsible, scalable production.
From Soil to Shelf: The Science of Beauty With Jorge Blanco
Q: And can you share a little bit more about the scientific process behind these potions, and how you arrived at these formulations?
We blend traditional knowledge with modern discovery to ensure formulas are both respectful of nature and highly effective for the consumer, with chemists continually refining processes and keeping channels open for questions from hairdressers and customers alike.
Maria Popova on Turning Matter Into Meaning
Q: As a place to start, can you share a little bit about what wonder means?
Wonder requires suspending certainty and the self; it's a practice of opening to what we don't yet know and placing ourselves in the path of surprise, often in nature, to cultivate curiosity over fixed identity.
