  • The table safety episode

I’m sorry, but the episode 257 on table “safety” is gentle parenting nonsense. Children are running the households in this country. Absolute nonsense. In all of human history children have not needed to have a ball or stand at the table or a “safety” tablet. Parent your children, stop bending over backward to do what your kid wants.

Q: How does Zolair (omalizumab) fit into the treatment landscape for pediatric food allergies?
Zolair binds free IgE in the blood, preventing binding to allergen receptors and thereby reducing allergic reactions. It can be used to facilitate oral immunotherapy by improving safety, allow higher initial dosing, and can be considered for patients with comorbid asthma. Its use is tailored by age, comorbidities, and prior response to desensitization.
