Locked deep beneath The Museum is...The Museum's Shadow! Inside this secret, trapdoored cellar is an exhibition filled with artifacts, fossils and thick cobwebs. Some artifacts are brought into the light on Twitter: @museumsshadow

The story of a man who threw his rescue message into the sea without knowing there was as a genie inside the bottle.
This podcast is an absolute delight and fills a specific need for pensive, clever, interesting storytelling. It used to be a huge comfort when I had anxiety, but unfortunately it’s been pulled from all platforms for a few years now. I wish we could listen to it again.
It's always a good day when a new podcast from Aaron Bergeron pops up. Wonderfully crafted storytelling, hilarious jokes, really just a lot of fun. Keep them coming!!!
I'm always looking for new podcasts to listen to, and the Museum's Shadow has quickly become one of my favorite listens. Every episode is a fun, self-contained jewel box of a story - I love that I can pick it up whenever and be transported to a fun, imaginative world. Plus it's very funny. Looking forward to the next one!
I live in a very dull and dreary place with very little creative vibe nor stimuli.
These wonderful podcasts take me away from the gloom of my day to day and make me smile as I'm transported into the bright "shadows" of the museum.
I've been looking for a lighthearted and silly podcast for my commute to work, and I finally found it. After originally discovering the Museum's Shadow on twitter, I'm glad to finally have a voice to go with the artifacts that always make me laugh. This museum's curator reminds me of Stephen King, if King tried to make his readers chuckle non-stop instead of making them scared.
I stumbled upon the Museum's Shadow twitter feed a few months back and always get a kick out of its silly cryptic lore. If you appreciate the humor of the Museum's tweets, with their nonsensical and apocryphal artifacts (e.g. "The skeleton key to every city"), you'll definitely dig this podcast.
Genies, Mariners and Bergeron himself are all delightful relics of a museum I’d want to be a member of. These are strapping adventure tales packed with whimsy and humor. They take you back to a state of grace, a state of innocence where one can simply enjoy a ripping good yarn with heart, jokes and absurdity. Ironists need not apply. Well, they can and will enjoy them all the same.
Part dream, part campfire story, part fun uncle’s tale. This podcast is hypnotic, funny, and delightfully bizarre. Please keep them coming!
Imaginative, lyrical and fun. I hope the next episode takes place in front of a campfire. That's where these stories belong.
A fun and imaginative tour of an alternate reality, with elements of Gilliam, Ghostbusters, and The Goonies. Keeps you wanting to know more!
Aaron Bergeron ("the Curator") wrote for THE DAILY SHOW, and he brings the same level of wit to this inventive podcast, exploring mysterious and mystical found objects from the lyrical to the terrifying. I look forward to every new episode!
The Museum's Shadow podcast - spawn of the Museum Shadow's Twitter feed (@museumsshadow) - is what might result if an NPR reporter sneaked backstage at the Muppet Show and interviewed Jim Henson about the stories behind the objects lying around there. Aaron Bergeron is an original voice (petrified fog!?) and this podcast is totally worth staying up past one's bedtime for. More please!
I LOVE these stories from The Musuem’s Shadow! I’ve been following their Twitter account, @museumshadow, for a while now, but just recently became addicted to the podcast. My only complaint is that I wish there were more episodes to listen to! The storytelling is reminiscent to good Stephen King book, but with the fun, mischief, and playfulness writing similar to J.K. Rowling’s stories. The curator, Aaron Bergeron, has an animated voice perfect for sharing the eccentric history behind each artif... more
