  • Racial biases & Uneducated in Health

I was very excited to find this podcast, the first few ones were great. However, this podcast reinforces sexist gender roles and contains a lot of white cis gender privilege & racial biases which makes it really hard as mom of color to relate. For me I couldn’t finish the podcast of the election because I felt unsafe & unseen. I have a ph.D in public health and am Dietitian. I serve marginalized communities, that episode not only triggered me but also made me realize how uneducated these podcast... more

  • Woof

As someone who is in transition in my faith and really looking to have it restored, I seek out podcasts like this hoping that they will help me come back to feeling comfortable in religious places. And I’ll be danged if this didn’t do the exact opposite. This ill-informed, non inclusive, judgey vibe is precisely what made me wonder if church people were who I wanted to be associated with in the first place. So incredibly disappointing.

I have been a longtime listener and I really enjoyed listening. However, once you involve politics in something that doesn’t stand or fall under the purpose of what you share, it just gives ick. For that reason, I’m out.
