I was very excited to find this podcast, the first few ones were great. However, this podcast reinforces sexist gender roles and contains a lot of white cis gender privilege & racial biases which makes it really hard as mom of color to relate. As someone who is in transition in my faith and really looking to have it restored, I seek out podcasts like this hoping that they will help me come back to feeling comfortable in religious places. And I’ll be danged if this didn’t do the exact opposite. This ill-informed, non inclusive, judgey vibe is precisely what made me wonder if church people were who I wanted to be associated with in the first place. So incredibly disappointing.
I’m fairly new to you alls podcast but I love to listen. You guys seems so genuine and loving and speak on subjects that all moms can relate to. I’ve shared the podcast with friends because I want them to feel the love and support I feel when I listen. Can’t wait for the next episode!
I have been a longtime listener and I really enjoyed listening. However, once you involve politics in something that doesn’t stand or fall under the purpose of what you share, it just gives ick. For that reason, I’m out.
