One of the difficult truths of life in the Middle Ages is that death was never far away. While the vast majority of medieval people owned far fewer possessions than we do today, they were just as concerned with making sure everything was taken care o... more

Great pod on Viking dispute resolution. (Not the same issue but didn’t the conquistadors have to follow some legalistic steps, at least on paper?) Have to get the author back on again. You have a great way of helping new scholars. Thanks Daniele!
Have listened for 2 or 3 years off and on. Tonight for some reason i give up. Laughter. Why? Nervousness? She’s been doing this almost 300 episodes. But the giggling just went too far. And the strangest thing is it’s not just this podcast. I enjoy humor as much as anyone but there’s just nothing funny going on. Someone, please explain, what’s so funny?
Have to get the author back on again. You always have such a lovely rapport with the scholars. Thanks, again Daniele!
Ada Palmer was a hoot! I always suspected that the Renaissance had better marketing than the Middle Ages. 😁 Thanks, again Daniele!
Great pod on Frederick Barbarossa. I’m quite skeptical of the author’s presentation on Henry VII. Is there anyone else you could bring on to discuss Henry VII? Thanks for all your hard work!
