  • Wow…

Having been in med device sales for 17+ years I can honestly say I’m surprised how little some of these people actually know about what it takes to enter, win and play the long game in this industry. I had to turn off the last episode (TJ something)… he’s so arrogant and NOT a leader but anything more than title.

From Rep to Coach: Mastering the Medical Device Industry
Q: What is your number one challenge when working with someone?
The first is mindset; people's belief in their capacity to do something. The second is their inability to be consistent in their efforts.
From Rep to Coach: Mastering the Medical Device Industry
Q: What are the common missteps you see with sales reps?
The first misstep is lacking a clear sales process. The second is not prioritizing the full customer experience, and the third is not taking ownership of their impact.
Mastering Strategic Sales | PT 1
Q: What makes, from your experience, what makes the most successful managers?
Top managers challenge their sales representatives' critical thinking, know when to provide coaching advice, and they let their sales representatives learn from their mistakes.
Mastering Strategic Sales | PT 1
Q: Can you coach work ethic?
I think that you can advise people what it's going to take to be successful, but that work ethic, that drive, I think is a personal thing.
Mastering Strategic Sales | PT 1
Q: From your experience, would you say that an average performer can become a powerful top performer or top performers are born?
I don't think top performers are born. I think that if people become a master of their craft and start examining and getting feedback from others, even average performers can grow into top performers.
