  • Breath of fresh air

Like I named this review, this podcast is a breath of fresh air. To listen to a man be emotionally available and encouraging people to do the same is not something you see super often in the heterosexual world lol. Thanks for bringing these conversations and letting us listen in 🫶🏼

  • Open and kind

I’m enjoying your voice in that you’re open emotionally, you’re kind, and that you have great compassion for people. It all comes through. I love when you talk about messing up, feeling awkward, and going through lonely stages because you remind me that everyone has those feelings and they are are ok and part of growth. I’m learning a lot and reconsidering some long held attitudes too. I hope the podcast continues to grow. I’m doing my part. Listening and sharing. 🩵

Bidding for connection with Jess Janz
Q: What is it about friend breakups that makes them challenging compared to romantic breakups?
Friend breakups lack the predictable script of romantic endings, so people often don't have a clear conversation to close the relationship, which can leave them grieving and confused; the guest emphasizes clear communication and setting boundaries as part of navigating these transitions.
Learning to love unpredictability
Q: Shaun, I'm wondering if you would do a podcast on your search for a home city and how that impacts relationships.
He explains his personal journey across several cities, emphasizing the importance of community, third spaces, and taking small steps to build roots while staying open to new possibilities.
Why lonely men join the Manosphere with Laura Ramadei
Q: What drew you to talk about the Manosphere on this show?
We wanted to understand what loneliness drives men into the space and how compassionate dialogue and relational skills can offer a healthier belonging. It's not about condemning individuals but about repairing social dynamics and providing support.
What is love?
Q: Hi Shaun, my question is, with regards to love, I was in a long relationship that wasn't great, I'm with someone now who says he loves me, but I'm confused about what love is and whether I should say it back.
Love isn't just a feeling to be traded; it's a practice of showing up, communicating openly, and inviting reciprocity. It's okay to pause and clarify what you need, and to ask your partner to demonstrate consistent care and vulnerability as you both figure out what love means for you now.
