These four guys are clever, funny and engaging in their great work of breaking down and annotating Grant Morrision's The Invisibles. Smart, literate with a seriously geeky sense of humor The King Mobcast finds four guys breaking down this brilliant, dense comic while piling up running jokes. The podcast has evolved into near theatre performance. Their chemistry is obvious, their humor is astute and their sense of fun is infectious. Pooling extensive knowledge of comic craft, SF and Fantasy liter... more
This both informative and entertaining. These guys really do their homework with every single issue.
In a sea of poorly put together comic book podcasts, this stands out as the way it should be done. The show is incredibly well researched and legitimately funny. They combine an good mix of reverence for Grant Morrison with just the right amount of skepticism. I have been reading and rereading The Invisibles for over 20 years now, as well as reading books and articles that break down the series and its symbolism, but these guys have managed to catch elements that I didn’t already know. Hey guys, this was a good episode. You’re very knowledgeable, and you’re obviously having fun. I don’t listen to every show, but I’ll dip in now and then.(1)
Invisibles is a love of mine. This episode was an eerie reminder of how prescient some of it was.
Excited to hear they’ll be doing a tv series. In the meantime Preacher will have to suffice.

Such an entertaining, informative look at one of the greatest comic book series of all time! The King Mobcast crew does such an incredible job of digging into the story, that it's a true pleasure to get to experience the series through their eyes!
Only a few episodes in, and the King Mobcast is already an entertaining, essential companion to the classic comic. Recommended to old and new readers alike. Newcomers will receive invaluable assistance, and even longtime fans will learn much they didn't know.
This is one of those things you didn't know you wanted, no, NEEDED, in your life until it came along. It's an in depth annotated look at one of the greatest comic series of all time AND, it's a reason to go back and reread THE INVISIBLES, which, let's get real, is something we should all do. I'll admit I don't have a handle on the hosts yet but they're dynamic and charismatic nonetheless. When all is said and done I hope theses guys move on to other Morrison stories.
