  • Great episode.

Great episode, Rebecca Burgess: Soldier-Citizens and Citizen-Soldiers: Spiritedness and the Constitution.

A politically neutral military is a pillar of our country.

Despite Article 88 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, our active duty & retired general & flag officers are publicly partisan in open letters & public speeches.

A US military that is unable to police itself to publicly remain politically neutral, is a danger to our constitutional republic.

  • Please ditch the partisan ax grinding

I listen for engaging content on international affairs. Please cut the partisan dirt flinging — it cheapens the IWP organization.

  • Fine content, poor audio

I periodically enjoy relevant and timely topics, but content is sometimes dry. Often important things that are not covered elsewhere. But please improve the audio quality. It’s an embarrassment.

Tradecraft, Tactics, and Dirty Tricks: Russian Intelligence and Putin’s Secret War
Q: What lessons should the West take from past Russian information campaigns in Georgia and Ukraine?

Tradecraft, Tactics, and Dirty Tricks: Russian Intelligence and Putin’s Secret War
Q: How has Russia's security service leadership influenced policy and decision-making?

Tradecraft, Tactics, and Dirty Tricks: Russian Intelligence and Putin’s Secret War
Q: Why is credible deterrence essential in ending the Ukrainian conflict according to the guest?
Credible deterrence signals that aggression will have costs, limiting the opponent's willingness to push further, and is necessary to force a window for a resolution that respects sovereignty and deters future attempts at coercion.
Tradecraft, Tactics, and Dirty Tricks: Russian Intelligence and Putin’s Secret War
Q: What are the main differences between traditional warfare and Russia's hybrid approach?
The guest explains that hybrid warfare blends political, informational, and covert military actions, operates in gray zones just below kinetic conflict, uses active measures and disinformation, and seeks to undermine democracies without triggering full-scale war.
