Firstly, I entirely understand the commercial need to include ads in podcasts. However, in a podcast which is supposed to be calming, allowing you to focus on positive birth stories, it is so distracting to have numerous adds placed right in the middle of conversations/sentences. Maybe moving the adds to the beginning and end only, or having a clear break in the podcast for ads would be better.
This podcast has been essential in my preparation for birth. Listening to birth stories helps to mentally prepare yourself for all of the possibilities that could arise during your birth. Allowing yourself to ruminate on different pathways of birth and not setting your expectations to one plan can significantly change the way you adapt during your labour. I am so grateful to have this resource!
It’s so good to fill our minds with positive birth stories and this podcast does exactly that. Even after my own positive birth first time around, as an expectant mother pregnant for the second time, I still need to put the work into preparing for my labour. Thanks to Claire for hosting these episodes but also thank you everyone sharing their story. This is exactly what we need. Xx
Really helped me get into a positive mindset before giving birth. Love the birth stories in particular. Useful to use this podcast as well as speaking to your own midwife/obstetrician and using NHS guidance
Claire’s content is great, really helpful and always nice and soothing to listen to. Didn’t do her course because I’m not UK based, but I am binging the podcast as preparation for my birth and definitely learn something new every episode, even though I also did a course locally. Thanks Claire for all the important work you do!
