Made me want to fall asleep listening to this podcast, love history but this is not the one to listen to.
Great topic…great info…could not handle the amount of times “uh” was uttered into the mic. I had to stop playing after 10 minutes.
Very ethnocentric. Everything said about Canaan is wrong. It wasn’t unsettled, uncivilised land as repeatedly stressed andopen for habitation. Please refer to Natufians and Canaanites and city states of, for example, Jericho, Ashkelon etc. The bible is not academic literature to be referenced as fact. Also consider that Sumarian is a language isolate. Now extrapolate…which even western academics can’t do. Pharaohs do not socialise outside the palace with pastoralists. Extrapolate.
