  • Chinese government propaganda

They blame victims of hate crimes and question how “Asian” they are whilst asserting what the victims SHOULD say after getting attacked in their view. Truly awful, racist people. Additionally, they just host pro CCP shills to deliver talking points and pretend to be a chill podcast. Be aware.

  • Temporary comment

Frank Tsai episode is just a facepalm. He is a nice person. Just incompetent to talk about international stuff. You were too nice to him to not knock him down with questions. Such ungrounded incoherent talker barely withstand with his points against high schooler. 😅

  • Fun, Relatable, Complicated, Deep!

To me this pod is reflective of being human. In different episodes they will either talk about personal, social, cultural or political issues. I won’t always agree but that’s also the point. I respect the honesty and the fun this pod brings to some deep and complicated topics.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

186. Dr. Steve Vinay Gunther: The Truth About Us
Q: What are your thoughts on AI as a therapeutic tool?
AI can be a useful aid for pattern recognition or information, but it cannot replace human empathy, wisdom, or the nuanced understanding required for emotional work; overreliance on AI for therapy is potentially dangerous.
186. Dr. Steve Vinay Gunther: The Truth About Us
Q: Why is the relationship between therapist and client important in Gestalt?
Because Gestalt emphasizes horizontal, human-to-human dialogue, the therapeutic relationship itself becomes a vehicle for insight and change, helping the client access their own resources rather than relying on expert-driven fixes.
186. Dr. Steve Vinay Gunther: The Truth About Us
Q: What is Gestalt therapy, and how does it differ from other psychotherapies?
Gestalt therapy centers on the here-and-now experience and the individual's subjective reality, emphasizing dialogue, embodied awareness, and the personal meaning of events rather than fitting someone into a diagnostic category; it aims for experiential shifts through guided exercises.
173. Jason Oakley: The Bite
Q: What do you think is missing in many sandwich shops?
They're undervaluing the bread component, which is crucial for great sandwiches.
173. Jason Oakley: The Bite
Q: Do you see yourself here long-term, having a family here?
It's home, but I would like to explore other places for a change before settling down.
