I have been enjoying this podcast for its thoughtful approach to the historical event of the Holocaust and the deep insights guests bring. My only issue listening is the frequent background noise that permeates episodes - throughout various episodes, sounds including loud typing, someone blowing their nose, background conversation, a pet being fed, and doors opening and closing have made appearances. I’ve had to stop listening in the middle of conversations because it’s so distracting.
I stumbled upon this podcast and listening to the episodes of the Birdman of Auschwitz
It’s okey it’s just the basic of what we know and no big details
This is a good podcast about the Holocaust. I am learning a lot and there is a great and interesting collection of different aspects of the Holocaust. Studies of this horrific event need to continue and this podcast is part of that.
One star was deducted because there is an undercurrent of leftist thought in some of the episodes with some of the typical buzzwords. However, it’s not overpowering and a discerning listener should be able to spot and discard this discredited thinking.
We needs more of this type if serious scholarly but accessible historical documentation and analysis if one of the darkest chapters in human history so that similar events are never EVER to happen again. The other horror is slavery. There is hope when you find a podcast like this

The series centers on rigorous, scholarly conversations about the Holocaust, featuring historians, authors, and memory scholars who explore less-covered angles as well as foundational events. Episodes commonly tackle memory, justice, and everyday complicity, with deep dives into topics like Nuremberg, ghettoization, concentration camps, survivor testimony, and gender or queer perspectives. A standout quality is the blend of detailed archival framing with accessible, debate-ready dialogue, inviting listeners who want a serious, research-informed understanding of the Holocaust and its ongoing resonance in memory, law, and culture.
