I really want to like this show, but unfortunately it suffers from the same problem as most hobby podcasts. There’s too much ”bro time” and too little content. In the last episode I listened to there was 15 minutes of stuff before they ever mentioned handguns.
Drink segment? Really? I wanted to hear about handguns.
Great program !
I’ve listened to Handgun Radio Podcast for years. I last left a review over a year ago. I thought it was high time to update it.
I’ve enjoyed countless hours of listening to episodes of Handgun Radio for many years now. However, recently I’ve noted that there has been a disturbing trend in recently released episodes. I’ve noticed that all the ‘new’ episodes were recorded over 3 months ago at the end of 2023.

Been listening for years and love the drink segment. I do however wish that dude David would shut up for like 5 seconds during an episode. It really kills the vibe of the episode and he cuts off everyone including guests

The show centers on firearms, with a strong emphasis on handgun history, hardware, and practical shooting culture. Episodes mix in-depth discussions of specific models, historical design choices, and current industry trends, often paired with candid banter, gear chatter, and guest insights. A recurring strength is bringing knowledgeable guests from auctions, ranges, and manufacturing, while maintaining a casual, shop-talk vibe that appeals to both serious hobbyists and casual enthusiasts. Notable traits include nerd-level deep dives into gun history, hands-on product talk, and a balanced mix of technical detail, personal stories, and sponsor mentions that keep the conversation approachable for listening in the shop or range.
