  • This is my go-to source for keeping up to date on developments in the firearms world. The hosts have loads of personality and are not afraid to delve into the details of issues and call them like they see them. They are intentionally non-partisan: they are pro-2A, but they are not beholden to the red tribe or the blue tribe. Its not just news and current events. Their contributor segments often address useful lessons for gun owners (or the gun curious), beginner to expert.

I enjoyed the podcast until they featured a Socialist with socialist views. Police protect themselves when people are burning courthouses and destroying and the police have to protect themselves not knowing if it is peaceful or not. Assorted pile !!!!!!!!!!!!! 👎 I have no tolerance for the supporters of violence. Honest hard working Americans lives matter, irregardless of race creed or color Zero tolerance for socialist views

  • Great Podcast

This podcast is typically informative, hilarious, goofy, and ends up taking turns that one wouldn’t typically expect from a shooting/guns podcast. Definitely worth a watch

  • Good 2nd podcast but....

Love the podcast I look forward to it every week but I can’t get into the crypto. I tried on the first few but now I just fast forward until savage stops talking. Which make me sad because I want more of this podcast not less. I think there is a reason the guys on we like shooting don’t let savage get on this topic. Some people probably find crypto currency interesting but I don’t think this is its place.

Assorted Calibers Podcast Ep 382: Northern Ordure
Q: What are the five pillars of good legislation the guest mentions?
The guest lists necessity, effectiveness, practicality, legality, and equity as the five pillars for evaluating laws, arguing that even well-intentioned legislation should be assessed against these criteria.
Assorted Calibers Podcast Ep 388: Super Safe?
Q: What is a patent and how does the Rare Breed v. Hoffman case relate to it?
A patent gives the inventor exclusive rights for up to 20 years, with sections outlining the background, description, summary, and most importantly the claims that define the invention. In the case discussed, Rare Breed claims Hoffman infringed on their patent, but the analysis suggests Hoffman's device may not infringe because the claimed mechanism functions differently, especially with respect to the disconnector and trigger interaction; the timing of Hoffman's disclosure and the patent claims are pivotal to the case's validity.
Assorted Calibers Podcast Ep 392: ATF, DOJ Under New Management
Q: What happened in the Malinowski case and why is it controversial?
Bud Cummins explains that ATF agents conducted a no-knock style entry on Bryan Malinowski, contrary to standard knock-and-announce procedures, leading to a fatal shooting. He emphasizes questions about training, planning, and justification for the raid, and suggests accountability and possible policy reforms.
Assorted Calibers Podcast Ep 338: The 9th Circuit Giveth, and the 9th Circuit Taketh Away
Q: How is mental health being weaponized against gun rights?
It risks stripping Second Amendment rights from individuals based on mental health conditions that could be politically motivated.
