Season 10 could have been edited down to four episodes. They spent way too much time on things related to the scam that weren’t all that relevant to the story and just didn’t interest me. Plus, it’s not timely. Most people get scammed online these days, not by snail mail. I know the reporter/producers worked very hard on this and did a thorough job, but it needs a quicker pace and more suspense.
For fifth grade reading/thinking level.
Love the tone and super disturbing!
I was very interested in learning what happened which is why i stuck it out, but it wasn’t easy. I found the delivery style difficult - particularly the narrator constantly repeating to us exactly the interviewee had just said. The podcast could have been half the length and twice as engaging without this.
The subject is fascinating, but the narrative is a little adolescent. The description of England is rather strange and seems to depict it as a quaint village from the 1950s. One policeman manning the phones!
