  • Ok

I liked this podcast and the way people open up, however, i am very disappointed that the minister chose in this episode to use a swear word! There are other words that could have been used instead.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Moazzam Begg ex-Guantanamo prisoner - In conversation with Fr Alex Frost - The God Cast Interview
Q: Are you hopeful for a brighter future?
While I used to be optimistic, current events have made me more aware of rising hatred against Muslims, which is concerning. I believe it is vital for people of faith to engage in interfaith dialogue to prevent further division.
Moazzam Begg ex-Guantanamo prisoner - In conversation with Fr Alex Frost - The God Cast Interview
Q: What is Syria anymore? What has it become?
Syria is a tragic embodiment of ethnic cleansing and torture; places of brutality exist that make Guantanamo seem like a holiday camp. The relationships between Christians and Muslims still maintain a natural essence despite the ongoing violence.
Moazzam Begg ex-Guantanamo prisoner - In conversation with Fr Alex Frost - The God Cast Interview
Q: Could you just share a bit about how your faith shaped and shifted in those times of incarceration?
During incarceration, my faith became a shield that protected me from despair and despair was prevalent due to the brutal environment. I found solace in prayers and the Quran, which strengthened my connection with God.
Dr Helen Webberley - The Hormone Expert - The God Cast Interview with Fr Alex Frost
Q: What is your prognosis for the trans community?
The trans community needs visibility and inclusion, with a call for governmental support in rejecting discrimination.
Dr Helen Webberley - The Hormone Expert - The God Cast Interview with Fr Alex Frost
Q: As a parent, how should one respond if their child comes out as trans?
Parents should educate themselves and be prepared for a potentially life-changing conversation, focusing on support rather than skepticism.
