  • Power Bar

I’m a tad disappointed h has spent so much time on the David Bar spat. If you listen to Attia or Huberman you’d understand they aren’t diet fanatics. Sounds like a bunch of people looking for something to crucify. He does make some salient points that energy bars shouldn’t be consumed as a meal replacement or a snack for non athletes.

  • Love the show, but

I am disappointed in the recent advertisement for Better Help. I thought this show had standards for which companies were allowed to advertise.

The World's Fittest Woman Trains Easier Than You Think! | Lauren Weeks
Q: So how many events are there on the HYROX calendar?
There are well over 100 events per year across many cities, with a structure that includes pro, open, doubles, and relay formats; New York is a signature venue among many iconic locations.
The World's Fittest Woman Trains Easier Than You Think! | Lauren Weeks
Q: And how does it look from the professional aspect? I'm assuming you're a professional competitor.
Weeks explains that prize money exists but is not NBA-level; the elite circuit has four majors and a world championship with tiered winnings, while many athletes also benefit from sponsorships and a rising number of age-group competitors.
Beware of Drinking Coffee, Workout Soreness, And Garbage At Whole Foods
Q: For a 54-year-old, does walking build aerobic fitness effectively, and can it help me get faster over time?
Yes, walking builds an exceptional aerobic base at lower intensities, particularly around fat max, and over time can improve endurance and efficiency; it should be used as part of a balanced program rather than the sole training method.
Beware of Drinking Coffee, Workout Soreness, And Garbage At Whole Foods
Q: Should I apply race-specific training to all my competitive goals, or do I need longer intervals or longer runs?
Yes, race-specific training is beneficial for your goals (e.g., 400m vs. 10K), but avoid stacking too many modalities at once; prioritize training stress, rest, and balance, and use sprint-focused workouts for speed and shorter intervals for endurance depending on the target event.
Beware of Drinking Coffee, Workout Soreness, And Garbage At Whole Foods
Q: How long should you sprint to achieve all the health benefits?
The recommended sprint duration is 10 to 20 seconds, with four to eight repetitions and a recovery-to-work ratio of about 6:1, providing a balance of intensity and rest that delivers health benefits without turning workouts into prolonged endurance sessions.
