I’ve used numerous methods that Ben talks about for athletic performance. They’ve all been spot on and have helped me progress my career. I think most people who talk bad about this show are simply unhealthy beings and maybe need a foundational step forward first to see that these things actually do work. He’s ahead of the curve in a lot of topics. Things you hear today you’ll hear in 2-3 hears Huberman talking about. He’s ahead of them all in my opinion.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The Romantic Island Retreat You’ve Never Heard Of (& How To Go There With The Greenfields!)
Q: So how many villas are there and what's the scale of the retreat capacity?
There are seven villas in total, ranging from four- to three-bedroom setups, with an intimate retreat sweet spot around 20 to 30 people, and up to about 70 if you're doing a larger workshop-style event.
The AMAZING Future Of Regenerative Medicine, The New Sexier Alternative To Stem Cells, Where You Should Get Peptides (& The Best Peptides Stacks) & More With Dr. Matt Cook
Q: I would love for you to unpack what Muse cells are and how they're different from regular stem cells.
Muse cells are a subset of mesenchymal stem cells that can differentiate into cells across all three germ layers, but they remain signaling cells with higher homing potential and reduced risk of immune rejection due to their origin and HLAG expression, making them potentially more versatile for targeted tissue repair.
Is Isometric Training “Worth It,” New Research on *10 Minutes* of Exercise Per Day, NATURAL Alternatives to Metformin & More, Solosode & Q&As — 498
Q: Is there a safe, effective DHT range to aim for when managing hair loss and sexual health, given testosterone use?
DHT effects vary by genetics and receptor sensitivity, but general guidance suggests a wide range with personal monitoring; Ben shares his own targets and emphasizes that higher testosterone typically raises DHT levels and baldness risk, recommending monitoring with a clinician and using lifestyle approaches like scalp care and red-light therapy alongside sensible testosterone use.
Is Isometric Training “Worth It,” New Research on *10 Minutes* of Exercise Per Day, NATURAL Alternatives to Metformin & More, Solosode & Q&As — 498
Q: What changed your mind about Metformin and these alternatives for aging and metabolic health?
Ben explains that while Metformin can lower blood glucose, it may impair mitochondrial efficiency and microbiome balance, and can blunt aerobic training responses in some people; he prefers insulin-sensitizing options like Berberine, soluble fiber, cinnamon, myoinositol, and even simple lifestyle tweaks such as pre- and post-meal activity. These options are presented as evidence-backed, practical alternatives for metabolic health and longevity.
Are Blue Light-Blocking Glasses Really A SCAM?! (& What To Look For In A Healthy Lightbulb) With Matt Maruca
Q: How do you balance that with the idea that if you get massive amounts of blue light when you first wake up?
It would be a good idea to get really good sunlight exposure within the first hour of waking.
