  • You can only be a good person if you believe in god?

Such a ridiculous take. Secular homeschoolers have grown so much because we don’t want the indoctrination of “faith”. We see what your faith brings and we fully reject it. The people who push faith and simultaneously support Trump, please get the heck out of here

  • Excellent, practical, Informative.

I Have been listening to the “Generations” program for 15 years. This podcast was very crucial to me in my early and formative years as a Christian, it taught me how to think about all of life biblically. I have it in my podcast queue daily. Kevin Swanson is a blessing to the Church and to homeschooling families worldwide. I also use his homeschool curriculum for the education of our young ones, great stuff. Press on for the kingdom brother Kevin, your witness to the Gospel is encouraging and ma... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Family Economy or Bust - Rory Groves on Surviving the Coming Collapse
Q: Tell us about the new book Henry and the Great Society and why you think it's important for families today.
The book is a cautionary tale about a generational farm family that slowly loses the things that make family life meaningful as modernity encroaches; it serves as a narrative mirror for families to recognize how convenience can erode family structure, and it supports the larger message that rebuilding family economy is essential.
When Can I Divorce My Husband? - What Does the Bible Say About That?
Q: What does the Bible say about divorce and when is it permissible, especially for the sister writing in about her abusive husband?
The segment clarifies that while divorce is not universally endorsed, Jesus teaches an exception for sexual immorality. It also notes that abandonment by an unbeliever can release a spouse from the covenant, and emphasizes the need for cautious, biblically grounded discernment, pastoral counseling, and, in severe cases, safety considerations. The recommendation is to pursue church-based counseling and document outcomes, with remarriage discussions treated carefully and considered within biblical boundaries.
Church, Family, and the Discipleship of Children — What Does the Bible Say About That?
Q: How should we handle a church leadership that leans on guest speakers who are women for sermons?
The panel directs to discuss with pastors and elders, citing scriptures about male ordination for church offices and the appropriate use of women teaching in informal vs. formal settings, while respecting local context.
Church, Family, and the Discipleship of Children — What Does the Bible Say About That?
Q: What is the best way to equip moms and dads for discipleship in the home?
The consensus is to involve older, experienced church members to mentor younger families, provide practical resources like family worship guides, and encourage pre-marital and peer-to-peer discipleship, with pastors leading from the pulpit on key scriptures.
Church, Family, and the Discipleship of Children — What Does the Bible Say About That?
Q: Do you keep your children in the service if your church offers children's church?
The hosts discuss balancing church engagement with direct parental discipleship, noting that while Sunday programs can be helpful outreach, the primary responsibility remains with parents to disciple their children daily.
