Chatting Wrestling and Legacy with Teal Piper
Q: What are some of the two or three moments or mile markers in your career that you look back on as turning points?
One key moment was getting to work with Mercedes Martinez at Shine, which challenged me and proved I could step up; another was performing in my hometown of Portland, which carried emotional significance for my family and me; and a notable storyline with a rival that kept returning, driving ongoing narrative and growth.
Chatting Wrestling and Legacy with Teal Piper
Q: I don't really need to ask you so much about your origin story because I know all of that, but did you feel like this was always going to be on the cards for you?
Growing up around wrestling, I didn't see it as a guaranteed path, especially since doors for women were fewer back then, but I always loved performing and storytelling, and over time it naturally became my path as I trained and trusted the process.
A Conversation on Gregory Peck with Anthony Peck
Q: Was there ever a moment when you realized your father was Gregory Peck?
There wasn't a single moment, but at about sixteen I understood the influence he had on culture and the sense of responsibility he carried in his work.
Chatting with Marty Clay
Q: What are two or three milestone matches or moments that shaped your path to where you are now?
A recent standout was beating Eric Young, which showed me I could hang with top-tier talent; also my first match in 2021 against John Noble and beating Stan Sierra established my status in Kentucky wrestling.
