…kicking off my first episode (Once Upon a Time ~West) with praise for Kathy Kennedy wasn’t great. Overrated water girl for Spielberg and evil Empress imo. But this show is undeniably fun and informative. It want actually my first episode, I was just being dramatic.
Update May 2026: Just listened to the Lawrence of Arabia episode. I’m 5 years late, but I was motivated to write this. The real Lawrence never actually joined the military (to answer your question of why, since it’s contrary to his ... more
Everyone complaining that the show is just “dudes talking smack” has clearly never actually listened to a podcast in their life. What’s better than just having fun and vibey conversations about movies????
I don’t mind friends hanging out talking smack, but do it on YouTube. Many of us use podcasts to commute, and listening to thoughtless conversations is a waste of time.
Loaded with inside jokes, iMDB regurgitation, arrogance, and just overall lack of movie knowledge. Love the movies they select to talk about but loathe the conversations about them.
Tim needs to be a regular - he makes this a 5 star pod. That is all.

A conversational film podcast hosted by a tight trio that treats cinema with equal parts enthusiasm and playful irreverence. They regularly dissect a recent watch, pairing sharp analysis with wide-ranging tangents about directors, scores, production trivia, and pop culture, all while maintaining a warm, community-driven vibe. Monthly themes keep the discussions fresh, and listeners often praise the hosts' chemistry, accessibility, and the inviting Discord/Patreon ecosystem that fuels ongoing engagement. Notable for its friendly banter, willingness to tackle both classic and contemporary cinema, and a self-described non-expert stance that invites casual fans as well as cinephiles to weigh in and join the conversation.
