From the glamour of Hollywood to the dark side of has beens and wannabes, the research is thorough and the presentation is so sincere you can’t help embracing this team.

    This is right in my wheelhouse. Hollywood’s golden era is my subject, so this should be a favorite podcast for me… but there’s just something off about the presentation. The presenters are just a little bit smug, rushed and artificially giddy as they rattle through the talking points. I don’t know exactly what it is… shades of NPR maybe, but I’m not convinced that the enthusiasm is authentic, it feels corporate and mechanical under the surface, with the annoying music bed and rushed presentation... more
