This is such a powerful podcast and a guide for life. The episode titled Doubt, was a gut punch because it is what I have felt for my whole life. I am thinking what do I do? Fred says get it out and that is what I shall do. The podcast is great, but the in person Fred Opie is incredible.
Thank you
Fred Opie is on to something! It’s long overdue and interviewing interesting athletes in the lacrosse world is fantastic for parents and young players far and wide. Keep going...
I watched live Fred Opie score his famous BTB long pole goal in the dome back in the 80's. It is awesome to see him develop into a greater person and humanitarian. His guests and questions are exactly what our sport and culture needs. Thank you for your service, Dr. Opie!
More lax coach interviews theyre dope
A good friend brought Fred's podcast to my attention. It was not too long before I was anxiously awaiting each new episode. I enjoy the diversity of guests on the podcast, the experiences they bring to the interviews, and the many topics covered (from high-level lacrosse, to coaching, parenting, and even nutrition). I can tell Fred has a gift and is having a blast using it.
I really enjoyed listening to this on a lot of levels...the community of lacrosse, life lessons, GC vs Hempstead, the guys I know/knew, and the importance of good folks like Gallagher and Moran.
Dr. Opie's podcast is one I recommend listening to regularly. His insight and high level of experience in not only lax but all sports and development in general are top notch. His guest are awesome - all well known athletes or coaches, and the conversations he sparks with them are even better. Awesome stuff.
I was introdiced to this podcast when Dr. Opie interviewed a friend of mine and I couldn't stop listening. This should be required listening for all students, parents and coaches at every level. Thank you Dr. Opie. I can't wait for more!
