  • Sitting down with two wise, witty friends

The Forties Formula has quickly become one of my favourite podcasts. It feels like sitting down with two wise, witty friends who say the things we’re all thinking, but with more honesty, humour and heart.

What I love most is how they blend real life, real conversations, and real growth without ever feeling preachy. It’s warm, it’s refreshing, and it’s exactly the kind of dialogue you want to eavesdrop on.

Proud to know one of the hosts personally and even prouder to shout about this podcast.

  • Valuable, Important & Timely

Started listening after seeing a snippet discussing peri-menopause on instagram and am so glad I did. The episodes are packed with realness about all things health, fitness and wellness. Approaching 40, I’ve been focusing on taking better care of myself for a while now and trying to proactively manage my health. Why Walking Away From Your Career Might Be the Most Powerful Decision You Make in Your 40s
Q: What would you say to a woman in her forties who feels like this career path might not be for her anymore?
Define your core values, list what the company is offering, and identify where you want to go next. Seek outside perspective if needed, but trust your own alignment and vision as the compass.
Vaginal dryness in perimenopause: what's really happening | The Forties Formula In Focus
Q: And what can women do if they are experiencing vaginal dryness?
A multi-layered strategy is recommended: admit the issue and normalize using lubricants and regular moisturizers; choose safer lubricants with fewer parabens and glycerin; consider water-based or silicone options; explore topical estrogens or testosterone in vulvar tissue under medical supervision; and for those who can't or prefer not to use hormones, lasers and regenerative approaches may be viable options.
Vaginal dryness in perimenopause: what's really happening | The Forties Formula In Focus
Q: You mentioned a couple of times one of the physiological changes that can happen is vaginal dryness. Can you explain what is going on and how that can impact comfort and pleasure?
The expert explains that reduced estrogen during perimenopause leads to thinning of vaginal walls and reduced function of glands, changing the vaginal environment and causing dryness that can affect comfort and sexual function; lubrication and moisturizers are part of a broader approach including hormonal therapies and newer modalities like lasers for restoration of hydration and elasticity.
Hormonal Hair Loss After 40: What Is Actually Causing It and What Works
Q: How do you feel that protein-forward nutrition can support healthy hair?
Protein and overall nutrition support hair growth because the hair follicles rely on nutrients from the diet; during menopause, sleep, diet, and stress management also play a role in hair health, so focusing on balanced protein sources and nutrient-rich foods is beneficial.
Walking for Mental Health: How Daily Steps Build Confidence and Calm in Your 40s
Q: What role did the community and branding play in sustaining the movement?
The community amplified the impact, helped replace 'hot girl walk' with a purpose-driven message about confidence and mental health, and the ongoing narrative kept women inspired to join and keep walking.
