  • Sitting down with two wise, witty friends

The Forties Formula has quickly become one of my favourite podcasts. It feels like sitting down with two wise, witty friends who say the things we’re all thinking, but with more honesty, humour and heart.

What I love most is how they blend real life, real conversations, and real growth without ever feeling preachy. It’s warm, it’s refreshing, and it’s exactly the kind of dialogue you want to eavesdrop on.

Proud to know one of the hosts personally and even prouder to shout about this podcast.

Approaching 40, I’ve been focusing on taking better care of myself for a while now and trying to proactively manage my health. Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Hair Loss and Texture Changes in Your 40s: What Hormones Are Doing
Q: How do you feel that protein-forward nutrition can support healthy hair?
Protein and overall nutrition support hair growth because the hair follicles rely on nutrients from the diet; during menopause, sleep, diet, and stress management also play a role in hair health, so focusing on balanced protein sources and nutrient-rich foods is beneficial.
Walking for Mental Health: How Daily Steps Build Confidence and Calm in Your 40s
Q: What role did the community and branding play in sustaining the movement?
The community amplified the impact, helped replace 'hot girl walk' with a purpose-driven message about confidence and mental health, and the ongoing narrative kept women inspired to join and keep walking.
Walking for Mental Health: How Daily Steps Build Confidence and Calm in Your 40s
Q: How did you keep going when you kept failing at changing habits before?
By realizing that change is a series of small steps, not a single leap; I focused on a big why, attached walking to enjoyable activities, and allowed room for imperfection while maintaining consistency.
Walking for Mental Health: How Daily Steps Build Confidence and Calm in Your 40s
Q: What was going through your mind when you took those first steps and began this journey?
I didn't know it would become everything that it has; I started with a simple goal to improve my health and mental wellbeing, buoyed by a strong why and a plan to make walking a non-negotiable daily habit.
Reinventing Yourself in Your 40s: Fitness, Purpose and Starting Again
Q: What is your 40s formula for thriving in this decade?
Get up, dress up, and show up; commit to a habit for 60 to 90 days to turn wellness into well-being, then let mind, body, and spirit align.
