  • Information is good

This information is good but the lead in and back story to get to any substance runs 12-15 minutes. I stopped listening and read the transcript. Just too much extra talking and repeating ones self makes in unbearable for me to listen

  • A Host Who Truly Gets Women’s Health

It was such a joy to join Debra on this episode! She asks thoughtful, insightful questions and creates space for deeper conversations about women’s health—far beyond the surface. I loved exploring how hidden bladder microbiome imbalances can impact menopause, inflammation, and whole-body wellness. Debra is a skilled host who truly empowers women with knowledge. Highly recommend this show!

  • Great content, audio quality is poor

I love this podcast but I can’t give it a 5 star because the audio quality is really poor. I don’t know what’s happening when Debra is recording but there are so many clocks and taps that it is distracting. It’s like someone is typing on the keyboard when they are on speaker on a zoom call. Please fix. Otherwise the topics are very timely and appropriate to middle aged women. No hard sell on products, just sage advice.

  • Sorry

I love your podcast. But I just have to say I had to turn off the last one on exercise crisis. I’m 45 and workout 5 days a week and I had to turn it off after 15 min. It was actually depressing

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Muscle Building Vs Muscle Loss With Various Diets And Or Protein Amounts
Q: What is the recommended training frequency for strength to support muscle and bone health?
A minimum of two strength sessions per week is suggested, with the option to add a third if recovery and preference allow, emphasizing that consistency and proper total-body coverage matter more than strict frequency.
Muscle Building Vs Muscle Loss With Various Diets And Or Protein Amounts
Q: Does a ketogenic or carnivore approach work for midlife women, or are there downsides?
Keto may reduce hot flashes initially due to stabilized blood sugar, but long-term adherence can disrupt gut health due to low fiber, and thyroid and adrenal stress may ensue, making it less sustainable for many women.
Muscle Building Vs Muscle Loss With Various Diets And Or Protein Amounts
Q: How important is the exact amount of protein, and should we chase a specific grams-per-day target?
Protein is crucial to preserving muscle during aging, with a practical baseline of around 100 grams per day discussed, but the emphasis is on meeting needs consistently within overall caloric and micronutrient requirements rather than chasing a strict formula.
Natural Appetite Control Without or After the Shot - What is Calocurb?
Q: Do you need a prescription for Calocurb?
No, Calocurb is 100% natural and does not require a prescription. It uses a patented delayed capsule containing a hop extract, a vegetable oil, and rosemary preservative, manufactured in the US, with New Zealand-origin ingredients. It's designed to be taken an hour before meals to ensure it reaches the upper gut and works with the body's own hormones.
Natural Appetite Control Without or After the Shot - What is Calocurb?
Q: How was Calocurb born?
Calocurb originated from a 15-year research effort by New Zealand scientists who explored a natural plant-based extract capable of suppressing appetite. They identified bitter-taste receptors throughout the GI tract and found that hop-derived compounds could stimulate appetite-suppressing hormones, culminating in a delayed capsule that delivers the active ingredients to the upper gut. This lineage combines traditional bitter substances with modern clinical validation, leading to a natural alternative to synthetic appetite suppressants.
