  • Just ok

This is a just ok podcast. It’s slow moving and repetitive on many levels.

  • Information is good

This information is good but the lead in and back story to get to any substance runs 12-15 minutes. I stopped listening and read the transcript. Just too much extra talking and repeating ones self makes in unbearable for me to listen

  • A Host Who Truly Gets Women’s Health

It was such a joy to join Debra on this episode! She asks thoughtful, insightful questions and creates space for deeper conversations about women’s health—far beyond the surface. I loved exploring how hidden bladder microbiome imbalances can impact menopause, inflammation, and whole-body wellness. Debra is a skilled host who truly empowers women with knowledge. Highly recommend this show!

  • Great content, audio quality is poor

I love this podcast but I can’t give it a 5 star because the audio quality is really poor. I don’t know what’s happening when Debra is recording but there are so many clocks and taps that it is distracting. It’s like someone is typing on the keyboard when they are on speaker on a zoom call. Please fix. Otherwise the topics are very timely and appropriate to middle aged women. No hard sell on products, just sage advice.

  • Sorry

I love your podcast. But I just have to say I had to turn off the last one on exercise crisis. I’m 45 and workout 5 days a week and I had to turn it off after 15 min. It was actually depressing

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Aging is Inevitable But Muscle Loss and Sarcopenia Aren’t
Q: How does GLP-1 weight loss therapy interact with lean body mass and muscle preservation?
GLP-1s can reduce appetite and body weight, but may unintentionally reduce lean body mass; Fortetropin and proper protein/fuel management can help preserve muscle during caloric restriction.
Aging is Inevitable But Muscle Loss and Sarcopenia Aren’t
Q: What can someone do to proactively bank muscle in the face of upcoming surgery or immobilization?
Banking muscle involves using strategies like Fortetropin supplementation, combining protein intake and resistance exercise when possible, and leveraging mitochondria-supporting practices to mitigate disuse atrophy.
Are Your Shoes Ruining Your Foot Health
Q: Is there a question about Peluva that I haven't asked you yet that should have?
Whether Peluvas can be worn by children is a topic of interest; while adults can benefit, fitting kids' feet in five-toed footwear presents its own challenges, but early barefoot or wide-toe-box options can set up healthier foot development.
Are Your Shoes Ruining Your Foot Health
Q: Is Peluva right for everybody?
Yes, it is right for everybody as a training tool and everyday option, though it may not be the only footwear you use. People should ease into minimalist footwear, especially if coming from heavily cushioned shoes, and be mindful of weight and activity level.
Are Your Shoes Ruining Your Foot Health
Q: Tell me this. What is different? What happens in your foot when you begin to wear a five-toe shoe, Peluva, if you will?
Wearing five-toe shoes allows the toes to spread and the foot to articulate more naturally. It strengthens intrinsic foot muscles, improves arch engagement, and supports a gait that rolls off the big toe with better ankle and knee alignment over time. The adaptation is gradual and depends on weight and activity level.
