  • A Host Who Truly Gets Women’s Health

It was such a joy to join Debra on this episode! She asks thoughtful, insightful questions and creates space for deeper conversations about women’s health—far beyond the surface. I loved exploring how hidden bladder microbiome imbalances can impact menopause, inflammation, and whole-body wellness. Debra is a skilled host who truly empowers women with knowledge. Highly recommend this show!

  • Great content, audio quality is poor

I love this podcast but I can’t give it a 5 star because the audio quality is really poor. I don’t know what’s happening when Debra is recording but there are so many clocks and taps that it is distracting. It’s like someone is typing on the keyboard when they are on speaker on a zoom call. Please fix. Otherwise the topics are very timely and appropriate to middle aged women. No hard sell on products, just sage advice.

  • Sorry

I love your podcast. But I just have to say I had to turn off the last one on exercise crisis. I’m 45 and workout 5 days a week and I had to turn it off after 15 min. It was actually depressing

  • Women must listen to this podcast

Debra isn’t just another “expert” or “influencer” claiming to help women with weight loss and longevity. She’s the real deal—an educated woman who has been through it herself and now empowers others to do the same. Her approach is practical, straightforward, and backed by experience. She doesn’t just talk the talk—she walks the walk

Your Follow-Up Questions on Heavy vs Light Lifting After 50 — Answered With Science
Q: Question four. Is exercise for bone density different from muscle growth?
Bone density responds best to high strain magnitude and rate, as seen in the Liftmore trial, but muscle hypertrophy requires a broader approach, including adequate volume and tendon/connective tissue conditioning; both goals can be pursued together with careful planning.
Your Follow-Up Questions on Heavy vs Light Lifting After 50 — Answered With Science
Q: Question three. What about joint pain? Heavy feels worse to me.
Slower tempo with moderate loads increases time under tension and can recruit motor units with lower peak joint stress, and strategic variation in load can still achieve fatigue and adaptation without overloading joints.
Your Follow-Up Questions on Heavy vs Light Lifting After 50 — Answered With Science
Q: Question number one came in. If lightweight weights work, why does everyone push heavy?
The host explains that heavy loads promote maximal strength and can be more time-efficient, but hypertrophy can still occur with light loads if sets are taken to or near failure and overall volume is adequate.
Your Hormones Are Quietly Changing Your Gut and It’s Affecting Your Longevity
Q: How do hormonal changes impact a woman's gut health?
Different hormonal levels at various life stages significantly affect gut microbiome composition and health.
Your Hormones Are Quietly Changing Your Gut and It’s Affecting Your Longevity
Q: What factors influence microbiome health?
Diet, stress management, and sleep are controllable factors that can either promote or detract from microbiome health.
