As someone who has watched The First 48 all the way back to the very first episode on A&E 20+ yrs ago I miss the one and only narrator’s voice. That is why I gave it 4 stars. The TV show’s narrator’s voice is a trademark of the show.

I love that The First 48 has a podcast but I can’t get past the narrator’s voice. He sounds so monotone, story telling is a big part of podcasts and I don’t know if it’s working for me.

I appreciate this tv show has been properly adapted to a podcast format. Many tv shows just upload the audio and call it a podcast. This is frustrating bc it can be hard to follow along as you may miss visuals, subtitles during a police interview, map image on screen etc. First 48 as a podcast is done right bc the narrator recaps what was said in an interview for example since it’s hard to follow all of the audio. Well done!
