I was really close to paying for IVF when by chance I listened to this podcast and found out about the ‘postcode lottery’ which led me to discover that we were actually entitled on the NHS. Lifesaver!

Race Across the World to MRKH Advocacy: Betty Mukherjee

Write down your questions before meeting with health professionals and consider having someone supportive with you.
Fueling your fertility- Diet and PCOS with Ro Huntriss
Q: What should someone do tomorrow once they've listened to this podcast?
They should allow themselves time to process their diagnosis and when ready, listen to different podcasts on PCOS to educate themselves, using that knowledge to empower their management of the condition.
Finding your People: Why fertility support groups matter
Q: How has your relationship been affected during this journey?
We talk about it, not every day, but we've realized what works for us and it has actually made us stronger.
Finding your People: Why fertility support groups matter
Q: How important did you find that counseling and psychological support being available for you during the process?
It was invaluable and I felt like I told her our story once and I didn't have to explain what as this familiar or micro-teasing.
Endometriosis Unveiled with Professor Andrew Horne
Q: Considering it was a while ago that we spoke, you're still obviously in the trenches in terms of the research that's going on around endometriosis. I feel in the time I've been in this space, which is now a decade, that the topic has much more awareness around it, yet I still hear from people dealing with endometriosis and we're now doing a lot of work with my Fertility Matters at Work hat on in the workplace that there's still a lot of misunderstanding of what people need and there's still the massive elephant in the room, which is the issue around the time it takes for diagnosis and people being dismissed. So in the time since we last spoke, do you feel that awareness has improved?
I think awareness definitely has improved... I still think there's a lot of way to go in terms of getting the word out there. I'm still surprised when I meet people who haven't heard about endometriosis, given how common it is.
