  • Happily moving on (for now)!

I really enjoyed this trove of scientific information that was interpreted by different doctors who agree, but are able to contribute with complementary angles. After three years of infertility I am currently pregnant from our first euploid transfer and crossing all of my fingers that I can stay moved on from needing this podcast. I’d only comment that the sound quality could be a little better. There seems to be slight cuts here and there in one of the doctors’ mic track. The jack cable I use i... more

  • Great info terrible audio

I really love this podcast and find the information very interesting. However, a lot of times I find myself turning it off because the audio and/or editing is so poor and I have a hard time hearing what the ladies are saying. I’ve been a long time listener in this has only been happening in recent months; would give it five stars if it had better audio!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ep 331: Ep 331: Lining Up for Success: Endometrium Questions Answered
Q: How should couples approach the decision between single vs double embryo transfer when multiple euploid embryos exist?
Prioritize single embryo transfers for most cases to minimize twin risks and costs, especially if the embryo quality is high and there are no obstetric contraindications; reserve double transfers for explicit clinical reasons, always informed by patient goals and risk tolerance.
Ep 331: Ep 331: Lining Up for Success: Endometrium Questions Answered
Q: What is the recommended approach when imaging and basic evaluations are normal but the patient continues to have fluid in the uterus after estrogen exposure?
Consider repeating imaging studies, evaluate for subtle uterine or tubal factors such as hydrosalpinx, and discuss moving to diagnostic laparoscopy with possible endometrial biopsy to assess for inflammation or infection that could affect implantation.
Ep 326: Where Endometriosis and Surgery Intersect in IVF
Q: How do you approach endometriosis treatment when a patient also wants to pursue fertility in the future?
We assess goals, symptoms, and ovarian reserve, then decide between medical management and surgery, often using a combination of imaging and ultrasound to plan the best path that preserves fertility while addressing pain.
Ep 324: Emotional and Subconscious Aspects of Infertility
Q: What are some concrete exercises or routines you recommend for patients to perform daily when they're not able to meet you in person?
She emphasizes short daily recordings and five- to ten-minute practices that guide the patient's attention to what they want their body to do, along with simple life-integrated activities like walks, grounding exercises, or journaling that reconnect patients with joy and personal interests, helping them build resilience through the fertility journey.
Ep 324: Emotional and Subconscious Aspects of Infertility
Q: So Anne-Marie, what can clinicians do from their perspective to ease the process for patients who have had continual lack of success in infertility before they see a mental health professional?
Anne-Marie suggests two main approaches: first, acknowledge that some patients' bodies aren't responding due to non-physical factors and explore emotional blocks; second, provide practical, simple daily routines and psychological support—such as hypnotherapy, mindfulness, and sex- and relationship-focused strategies—to help patients regain a sense of control and independence within about 90 days.
