“I don't know where I'm going from here, but I promise it won't be boring.” Those words were spoken at one time by David Bowie, and thus are gospel to us here on The Art of Longevity podcast. Fortunately, some bands still live by that same philosophy... more
Now well over a decade in the music industry, Tom Odell is motoring through a successful second phase as an independent artist. His recent albums have leaned into more introspective, personal material that has resonated so much that he now attracts b... more

In the intervening four years since Olly Knights first joined me, the band has been on something of a creative roll; two fine albums, a successful acoustic tour and something of a collective raising of the game. To my mind, this is how established ba... more

My new favourite podcast. What a joy it is to hear these extraordinary artists describe their musical histories with such honesty and candour. Keith's appreciation and knowledge of music shines through every question he raises, and his guests generally respond by engaging in conversation that is equal parts reflective, philosophical, and galvanising. In my opinion, this podcast is entitlted to the very same degree of success and longevity as its subjects.
The Crowded House episode might just be one of my favourite Neil Finn interviews. Questions stayed away from the obvious, and Neil sounded like he genuinely enjoyed the chat. Not an easy thing to do, well done 🙌
I think one of the finest compliments I can pay this podcast is that I find the episodes about artists I know relatively little about just as enjoyable as the ones about artists whose music I’ve loved for years (ok, decades).
So this is fast becoming my favourite music related podcast. It does what no other podcast seems to do, and that is to discuss the highs and inevitable pitfalls of the rock survivor. Looking at a music career from an alternative lens requires a podcaster who has experience of this business but also asks really engaging questions and builds a natural rapport with the guest. Well Keith absolutely nails this. Highly recommend!
a great pod with top notch guests being asked thoughtful questions, giving insightful responses and having a wonderful exchange of ideas.
