  • Excellent place for level-headed updates

What I appreciate most about this podcast is that it isn’t just about digging through files but it’s about processing them and the emotions that come with that experience. It’s rational people discussing the files and doing their best to make sense of what they mean for non-billionaires like us.

  • Very disappointing thus far

I really like Jena friedman’s work, so it’s been disappointing to listen to her and her cohost here say absolutely nothing of value on such an important topic. They are just genuinely adding nothing above surface level discussion (ie caring more about one cohost never having heard the word “nictitating” than even attempting to have any discussion which remotely serves an investigative purpose). It’s just shallow rambling.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Epstein's Publicist Pen Pal wth Jessica Bennett
Q: What did the emails reveal about Siegal's role and behavior, and how did she present herself in the piece?
The emails showed Siegal as a prolific, self-promoting writer who described outfits and town gossip in lengthy missives, often misspelled, offering a window into her perception of events rather than an objective account; Bennett's piece allowed Siegal to speak for herself, which shifted the narrative toward her own version of events.
Epstein's Publicist Pen Pal wth Jessica Bennett
Q: How did Peggy Siegal cross paths with Jeffrey Epstein, and what was the nature of their early interaction?
Siegal was initially approached by Epstein via a costly Cartier travel gift and a phone call, which led to a long-running back-and-forth; Epstein wanted to be connected to New York's powerful circles, and Siegal's social capital and event-hosting offered him a gateway. The relationship evolved into continuing exchanges, with Epstein paying for trips and Siegal providing updates on town events.
Listen to Jane Doe with Kate Manne
Q: What did you mean by that?
Kate Manne clarifies that her framework focuses on plausible interpretations of testimony from women in the public sphere, acknowledging legal standards while emphasizing moral and epistemic plausibility to guide informed civic judgments.
What Did Wexner See In Him? With Lauren Sherman
Q: Lauren, you have covered him extensively. So for our listeners who are just getting to know Les Wexner, why is he such an important figure in the Epstein orbit?
Sherman explains that Wexner's wealth and trust created a conduit for Epstein to amass influence, with Epstein acting as an adviser behind the scenes for years, making the partnership central to the Epstein network.
The Talentless Mr. Epstein with Vicky Ward
Q: What do you feel like the public needs to understand that maybe needs more attention?
Ward emphasizes the importance of recognizing the global elite's reliance on each other and how Epstein facilitated connections among powerful individuals.
