  • A female fan weighs in

Love this show. I work in national security, so it’s really fun to have a comedic yet intellectual take on the issues of the day.

Also I know they are concerned that the gals aren’t listening. This one is! Keep up the good work!

  • Truly shocked at the goofiness.

Great show. “Terrible.. we make it..” I get it. STOP. Commentary can be funny but I stop listening as soon I hear the JD jingle. I have no problems with the segment stop adding levity to it. Pretty lame.

  • Seena is always right!!!

This show’s content can be hard to swallow sometimes because of the political climate, but the hosts do their best to make us laugh. They never make light of a bad situation but do find ways to make it my digestible. The JD Vance corner is the best.

And Seena is right again. We are at war with Iran. :(

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Why Iran Is Winning the War + JD Solves Daycare!
Q: Ceasefire, who won? Is there a clear winner or loss here, given the latest developments?
The hosts argue that the U.S. has effectively lost the war narrative by conceding terms, while Iran gains leverage from sanctions relief and strategic positioning, suggesting a nuanced, not clear-cut winner. The discussion emphasizes that outcomes depend on long-term enforcement of the ceasefire and the geopolitical moves beyond the short-term ceasefire.
Danny Bedrosian on the Armenian Genocide
Q: What should a country do when faced with genocide—when is intervention appropriate?
Intervention is context-dependent and historically inconsistent; in some cases, diplomacy and humanitarian aid are pursued, but strategic interests often determine actions, making timely intervention rare despite moral imperatives.
Interview: Atlantic Council's Jonathan Panikoff on Iran's New Supreme Leader and the Closing of the Strait of Hormuz
Q: What would count as a best-case scenario for a resolution, given the current conditions?
The best case would involve sufficient defections and a shift within the regime toward a more pragmatic leadership that can negotiate constraints on weapons programs and maintain some stability, though true democratic reform remains uncertain.
Interview: Atlantic Council's Jonathan Panikoff on Iran's New Supreme Leader and the Closing of the Strait of Hormuz
Q: What are the current objectives or goals driving U.S. and allied policy in this crisis?
He describes a set of concrete goals—diminishing Iran's ballistic missile capabilities, curtailing the nuclear program, limiting naval threats, and reducing overall leverage—while acknowledging that these objectives may be pursued through a mix of pressure and deterrence.
Interview: Atlantic Council's Jonathan Panikoff on Iran's New Supreme Leader and the Closing of the Strait of Hormuz
Q: Can you tell me a little bit about him, the new Supreme Leader, and whether hereditary succession matters in this context?
Panikoff outlines the candidate Moshtaba as a hard-line figure with close IRGC ties, while noting that the system has bent rules before and that hereditary expectations are not fixed, given dynamics within the Guardian Council and the Assembly of Experts.
