  • Cool guests + interesting convos

I want to watch more AAPI films but never really knew where to start. This pod has added soooooo many movies to my list. Listening to the podcast is good because the films are just the initial point of contact/reference, but conversations with the guest give us so much more insight into the Asian American experience. • The content and flow hits the mark.

From only the title, I wasn’t sure what to expect from the podcast. Would it be extremely serious or, what? But the host, sean, and guest matched, resulting in a refreshing ebb and flow of discussion. I could see what they loved about the movie from any fan’s point of view, but also see important aspects from an Asian point of view. With foreign films going mainstream in the U.S. I would think non-Asian film makers could benefit from podcasts such as this one. Great podcast. I highly recommend.
