But this isn't your typical running podcast– we'll talk about running (of course), but also discuss a wide range of topics, from pop culture to pigeons (not real) to picking up trash here in Baltimore. Believe in the Run have really gone downhill with their podcasts and reviews. It just feels like they take the easiest or laziest route with their reviews. The podcast has just become obnoxious, people might like it at first, but then these guys get old fast. Their heads have gotten too big, Thomas and Meg have such an air about them like they’re too cool or better than everyone else. They’re 40 and 50 year olds who still act like they are in college. You know those kids in high school or colleg... more
I’m a trail runner so I tried listening to Dirt Division. Thought I’d be getting an episode reviewing the new Speedgoats. Instead it was half an hour of the hosts whining about their various social phobias. Guess I’ll never know what they thought of the new shoes, I had to turn it off. Just terrible.
As a trail-forward runner, I’m enjoying the Dirt Division episodes - good content and great guests. What would make it even better would be if Taylor stopped interrupting so much. When he kept interrupting his co-host, I figured they were having technical issues, but when he interrupted Sophia Laukli during pretty much every answer, I got frustrated because I wanted to hear what she had to say.
Love The Drop podcast but the new hosts from The Dirt Division, specifically Taylor, needs to stop interrupting his co-host while she speaks. It’s hard to listen when he’s constantly doing this. Let her speak and let her finish her sentences!
I love this podcast (the Friday episode, I rarely listen to the Monday edition). It’s been a constant companion during my long run for the last few years but of late it feels a bit like a lifeless travelogue. I’m happy that their brand has really taken off and they get to travel to the world’s best running events, but it doesn’t necessarily make for an entertaining podcast. I actually switched to another podcast today after their fancy hotdog conversation started dragging just a bit too long.... more
