  • High calcium in urine

Would love to hear a link between hypercalcemia / hypercalcuria in relation to LOW PTH. Have been diagnosed with hypercalcaemia (and related bone stones, groans moans, psychiatric overtones) But my PTH is low. Research into why my PTH would be low with calcium coming out of bones - and its very likely from adrenal insufficiency. Long term chronic stress / childhood trauma has had me in a cortisol and blood sugar rollercoaster my entire life… neither friendly to bone.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Circadian Rhythm, Menopause, and Bone Health: What Most Women Miss [Dr. Deanna Minich Interview]
Q: How does circadian rhythm influence menopause and bone health?
Circadian rhythm primes hormonal systems through time cues like light and darkness, and disruptions can affect estrogen-related pathways, cortisol, thyroid function, and bone turnover. By optimizing light exposure, hydrating mornings, and maintaining regular eating times, the body's endocrine signals can stay synchronized, supporting bone health and reducing menopausal symptoms.
Dr Gabrielle Lyon: How Muscle Controls Aging, Metabolism, and Bone
Q: What is your protein recommendation?
I recommend a protein intake of 0.7 to 1 grams of target body weight per day, emphasizing the need for at least 100 grams of high-quality protein.
Dr Gabrielle Lyon: How Muscle Controls Aging, Metabolism, and Bone
Q: How did you become an expert in protein, muscle protein synthesis and nutrition?
I studied nutritional sciences and trained under leading experts which shaped my understanding of nutrition's role in health and aging.
Dr Gabrielle Lyon: How Muscle Controls Aging, Metabolism, and Bone
Q: Can you define muscle-centric medicine or muscle-centric longevity?
Muscle is surprisingly the largest organ system in our body and is crucial for longevity as it's at the focal point of diseases of aging.
Doctors Miss This Early Heart Damage That Causes Heart Attacks | Dr. Michael Twyman Interview
Q: What about supplements for boosting nitric oxide?
Supplements like oral disintegrating lozenges and products that release hydrogen sulfide can help if the body can't produce enough nitric oxide.
