  • Incorrect on Omeprazole

Omeprazole is a PPI. It is not an H2 Receptor Antagonist. Your guest is incorrect and that is concerning. It makes me question everything else he says.

  • Insightful, Grounded, and Truly Supportive Conversation

It was a pleasure to join Debi for this thoughtful and eye-opening conversation. She asked meaningful and well-informed questions and created a supportive space to explore the deeper roots of bone health, including inflammation, toxins, nervous system regulation, and emotional stress. I appreciated her clarity, her warmth, and her genuine desire to help listeners understand osteoporosis from a whole-body perspective. A caring and insightful host.

  • I love this podcast!

wow, I learned so much about my diagnosis of osteoporosis listening to this podcast. I am so curious about whether or not my DEXA scan is actually correct? I have been so worried ever since I received my diagnosis and now I have hope that maybe my bones are not as bad as I think they are.

  • Stronger Bones Lifestyle

After getting my diagnosis, I was freaked out. Other podcasts and other programs but finding Debi and her program and this podcast has changed my life. The only thing my doctors wanted to do for me was put me on medication. I am confident for taking this step before that one is what is going to heal me. I have met women whose bones are breaking and have no idea what is happening with their bodies. Of course I tell them about the podcast! Fracture-Proof Your Bones — The 4 Nutrients Backed by Clinical Trials
Q: What are the four nutrients with demonstrated fracture-reducing effects in clinical trials, and how do they compare to general calcium recommendations?
Calcium and vitamin D have demonstrated fracture risk reduction in trials, but not all individuals need extra calcium beyond dietary intake. MK4 (a form of vitamin K2) shows strong fracture-reduction data in multiple studies, while MK7 lacks fracture-outcome data. Strontium has limited and controversial evidence, with risks highlighted when considering its use, particularly in citrate form versus ranolate. Overall, dosing should be personalized, and emphasis should be on nutrients with proven fracture outcomes rather than solely on bone density improvements.
Osteoporosis Isn’t Random: What Your Bones Are Telling You with Dr. Doug Lucas (Part 1)
Q: How does the current medical system treat osteoporosis, and what changes are proposed?
They argue the system treats osteoporosis as a drug-centered problem rather than a metabolic lifestyle issue, and propose integrating lifestyle interventions, nutrition, hormones, and preventive strategies through scalable telehealth programs that can work with insurance coverage.
Osteoporosis Isn’t Random: What Your Bones Are Telling You with Dr. Doug Lucas (Part 1)
Q: What role do hormones play in bone health and who should consider BHRT?
Hormones, especially estrogen, have significant effects on bone turnover. The discussion notes that physiologic hormone replacement can improve bone mineral density in many women, with careful individualization and monitoring, and that BHRT can be part of a broader strategy alongside nutrition and exercise.
Osteoporosis Isn’t Random: What Your Bones Are Telling You with Dr. Doug Lucas (Part 1)
Q: So is osteoporosis reversible?
The guest explains that osteoporosis is not a fixed, irreversible condition and that bone loss can be reversed or halted with a combination of dietary optimization, adequate protein, hormonal balance when appropriate, and consistent resistance and impact training, with emphasis on bone metabolism rather than solely bone density scores.
Beyond Medications: A New Non-Drug Approach to Osteoporosis and Bone Health
Q: What evidence supports OsteoBoost's efficacy?
A gold-standard randomized controlled trial demonstrated significant reduction in bone loss for users, with some participants gaining bone, and the device received de novo FDA approval as a novel mechanism.
